I used to own a silver shadow 1976, absolutely delightful cars, if you have never owned one you most definitely should get one. Looking for another one in a year or two, absolutely stunning
More than likely original, it was the era of the Yuppie and two toning was very popular. I agree though, it would look better in just red and I suspect that it would have already sold for much more than it will achieve at auction.
Would have been nicer just red I think (but there's something for everybody). 4" is the difference between a wraith and a shadow (wraith is longer). Also you can't say vinyl roof with a roller, it was a very expensive option and it's made of something called Everflex.
@@lewis72 I'm not a RR expert Lewis, I was just lucky enough to get a trip around the Crewe factory once and the guide made a point of telling us that they weren't vinyl but Everflex and the name stayed with me en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everflex (hope that link pastes ok). With the time value of money it would sound like nothing today, but I remember at the time thinking that the option on a Shadow II was a huge amount of money. I guess it was standard on the Wraith II to help hide the cut where it was stretched?

Shame about the rather unpleasant gold re spray to the sides, it would look great in it’s original all over red

The Wraith II is 4 inches longer than a Shadow II and has the smaller rear window.

The Wraith II had the Everflex roof as standard (Was Everflex a manufacturer of vinyl roofs ?)

Body by Hooper . Rear window says Wraith .
Love it!
Beautiful colour scheme
Smaller back window than in the Shadow. Extra length on rear doors. Later style hubcaps.
Spot on.
4 inches lomnger, everflex roof and same hub caps as the corniche
Wraith 2 but the body shell is a mark1
The current fuel costs are killing these cars
Why do people bring cars in with very little fuel?
tight

What a strange colour combination
It was the era of the Yuppie, thankfully the interior isn't velour, another popular choice at the time.
Really awful paint combo!
