The difference between painters and great painters is that the great ones know how to correct their mistakes! Well done. We’ve enjoyed the videos, keep them coming!!
This is for professional? News flash big dogg. You are the professional. Good job. Luckily you didn't have any large panels to match up to. Small area from quarter panel to tailgate. And a thin strip at the hood. Ideally you'd want to get another variant and if it only had one variant then either tint it or let the paint company scan it. Key to those colors is make that blend disappear even if you have to add some of your wet bed/clear base and thin it out but you have to lose that blend. But if I had no other option I'd do exactly what you did. Good work brother. Coming live from Triggerland keep up the good work 🫡
Appreciate it.. Im goin a trial and error and phase wit these solid greys and tan colors.. Best believe im doin that spray first next time... Rookie mistake!!! Thanks for watching! Been watching your content too..keep the videos coming!
Bro been doing this for 20 something years, I've been there many times, makes you start questioning yourself, but sometimes the colors that you think are going to be easy are sometimes the most pain in the ass! had a challenger (pdm) ended up doing the whole side and it was just a spot on door, like I say, you win some you lose some but you live to paint another day!😂
I have the same problem. They don't put enough color on these days. From about waist down especially I've seen through 👀 to the primer. Pastel colors have to dry completely before they become the real actual color if that makes sense
It does make sense... Im jus having a trial and error wit these new colors they're putting on these cars..My biggest issue was getting it to blend. next time i think im goin to try over reducing the base to make the blend.. We will see how that goes. Thanks for watching!! more content coming
@@hbryant1990 absolutely we have a white toner that never blends and with my overreduced+basecoat blender mixture there's probably only 10% color in there when I'm finished.
But I probably would have done the same thing, I'd rather do a three-stage white pearl than one of those colors! Keep up the good work keep pushing through! 💪💯
I appreciate it my guy thanks for watching .. only been painting for about 5 or 6 years and I agree.. Pearl whites are way less nerve racking then theses colors...More content coming!
It's been a long time since I've sprayed a color like that and from what I can remember sikkens has a special way to blend it out . Like Triggerman said you have to add your blend 2 to 1 with base and just making the base weaker. I think there was a tech bullet on pastel colors. I will try to find it and let you know.

Those are some beautiful colors brother, but when it comes to blending, there a nightmare. But from one painter to another, you did a beautiful job.

Forgot this make sure you keep shaking the base in your gun. White toner for some reason starts to separate from the other toners.
