Thanks Brad. Awesome, informative video as always. I am fairly new to Cypripediums and I have three so far which I was very excited to find at my local garden centre.

Oh well, this video is just perfect! I was searching infos about cultivating Cypripedium in pots! :) All the informations about the waterings are going to be pure gold.
Can I ask you what media you used for yours plants? And the summer/winter temperature? I recently got two hybrid and I want to repot them... Do I have to wait until the dormacy or is better to repot as long as they are active?
I featured one in a video :) the other is a Kentucky Pink as yours and it's almost in bloom!
    Thanks for sharing!

What ever happened to your cypripedium acaule? You made sure to give it enough acid in the soil?

Very beautiful Cyps mr Brad!oh!i have a question since you seem to know your thing, last December i purchased a very healthy young rhizome of Cyp 'Lothar Pinkepank'..uhm cross of pubescens and kentuckiense (sp)..im in zone 8, its grow limit but it seems to take the summer heat very well!anyway, as i said the plant is young (no blooms) and green...yesterday when watering i noticed a second bud next to the leafy stem, is that the dormant, next year's bud?so early in summer?and it seems to grow!do Cypripediums sprout new growth after already leafing out?the plant is in a big clay pot with inorganic material and some coir, i have it under lights and i didnt fertilize it...what gives???

the leaves look like gladioli and the flowers look like orchids. just one flower per stem? very confusing for me.
