5:30 instead of using super poly during your main phase use it during the battle (attack with the normal dark magician and the dragon and since super poly is a quick play spell you can activate it after you've already attacked and then attack with dark magician the dragon knight and DPE to guarantee yourself an otk)

Hey rhyme ! Whenever you use magicians souls you should always use its other effect to ditch dork magician and special summon itself. Then you can draw with magicians souls. You'll win almost every duel. It gives so much advantage and keeps plays running

Yu-Gi-Oh looks so intimidating to learn. as someone whose never played it before
Duel Monsters was easy to learn. Today's YGO feels more like you're playing MTG now that anything and everything has their own support cards. It's just not as fun as it used to be, it's a love/hate relationship with Master Duel atm due to the fact that ranked plays more like MTG than YGO.

Dude it's easy to learn but just like any game there are interactions and rulings that are difficult to know unless you've put time into it. There's levels to it. My suggestion is to find a friend, a locals or an online group to have people to play with that are the same skill lvl and higher. The better the player the faster you'll learn the game.
The People who complain about the games speed step into the competitive scene or ranked with decks that wouldn't have been competitive 10 years ago and get mad at the fact their old decks get destroyed by people who are there to compete. Don't be like those guy's. Know you're new and that there is a learning curve.
That being said, there's a lot of broken stuff in the game and made even worse in master duel.
It's not hard to learn at all and happens to be one of my favorite games. It's just like with any other game there are cards that are OP and should probably even be banned.
@@stevothebelievo4097 Not probably. I still don't understand the banlist, except for the cards that are actually banned. Grass at 3, Anaconda legal, half of the limited list should be ban (not the archetype boss monsters just the annoying cards like Vanity of emptyness).
Dark magician decks are so consistent , beating them with Ra is pretty impressive. Very situational though
I wonder how the buster blader deck would do against dark magician. it mostly uses traps so the no spells wouldn't effect it
We tested it before and it was very one sided in favor of DM. The reason is because BB stops effects but spells still work. Once I start banishing the field, he’s screwed usually
See I would’ve use DNA surgery and with dark paladin to negate spell cards and buster bladder dragon destroyer swordsman to negate everything on opponent side of the field
If you can turbo out BB the dragonslayer, Buster dragon and set the correct trap you can stop DM in it's tracks the only problem would be making sure you can search that trap card when typically if you're running a BB turbo deck you're too busy using extensions to send monsters to the grave.

Can someone remind my boy Rhyme that secrets of dark magic is a quick play spell, meaning it can be used in the battle phase for otk? Game two where he had imduck and dork magician all he had to do was go battle phase, attack for 3300 (2500+800) activate secrets to fusion into the dragon boy, attack for 3000 then use eternal soul to special the dork magician back and attack for the remaining 2500. I'm sure this comes up a lot, so we need to remind him about this play so he doesn't miss lethal!

I've been running a certain inspired Gishki ritual mash and my Dragunity. They are fun decks and not auto and have to use your head. Gishki level 10 ritual is very powerful to draw a card and sends the filth on my opponents side of the field back to the deck so they can't pop off their effects.
And my little aqua and ice barrier with a few kinks too.

fun fact: if you return eternal soul to the deck with @ignister Pegasus it doesn't activate even though it says when this card removed from the field destroy all monsters.
A card that returns to the deck can’t activate it’s effect.

You could have won the first duel in turn 5 if you would’ve attacked with DPE, dark magician and the other monster then used super polymerization in the battle phase to summon dark magician the dragon knight and then attacked again

Rhyme, on turn 5, you could have won if you attacked with all your monsters first, then super poly for dragon knight and then you would have won, cause Seereax would have had 2200 lp at that point.
