      Punyam means virtue or good / virtuous deed.

    For example: made of gold, in this we have gold. Gold is a noun , why is it not a noun phrase?

      Made of gold . It is not talking about gold . Complete phrase is used to talk about another noun. The word Made is not used to describe "gold"
