Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.
That is the coolest thing ever, its like a 2 in1, snow blower 1st then like a back blade, while the blower is still running, wish they would make these for the garden tractor size
Regular snowblower for garden tractors do a pretty good job the biggest issue I see is that people do not pause for a few seconds at the end of each pass for the blower to evacuate all the snow built up in front of it before backing up for the next pass.
Hmm i wander what one is better this on or inverted I have been thinking of getting into the inverted snow blower set up for the past 3 years and thinking about taking the plunge this year
What material is its cutting edge? Steel, SS or plastic? Also, the edge for the back drag? Would this set up require an accumulator to the front? Are there wheel weights and/or filled rear tires or just the scraper box?
PXPL uses a Tivar blade so basically rubber. It doesn’t scrape as good as steel I guess but you can use it on paver driveways without causing them any damage. That’s what I saw in other videos anyways 😂. This would work better front loaded on an inverted tractor like the Better 130 or older New Holland/Challeneger reversible tractors. The PXPL is also very expensive. Honestly they would be better off having a Hybrid Cyclone blower on the back like they use all over Ontario. Takes less than 2 minutes to do a driveway. Tons of videos on RUclips here showing them.
Nick, could i use a JD3046 and use the mid mount on this unit? Pronovost says, 40hp to 55hp. OR is there any other manufactures that have a similar set up with the scraper?
3046R is much too light for this, especially on the front of the machine. Plus, the Deere mid-mount PTO is 2000 RPM and the Deere front hitch is proprietary dimensions. However, Pronovost does offer a Deere 3R Hitch 60" blower that connect directly to the Deere components. I just didn't get a chance to make any videos of them really last year. Model #P620-60JD3. It's an unbelievable blower.
Those blowers look cool but I really think they’re only worth it on one of those inverted tractors. Using a hybrid rear mounted blower would be way quicker and cheaper.
Hi Are you using the mid pto on the tractor? if you are they are 1000 rpm so how do you compensate for the added speed is there a gear box to slow it down??
There is a Zuidberg 540 PTO/Hitch Kit installed on this tractor. So, you could run the same snowblower on the front or back. It's expensive to do, but it opens up a ton of possibilities.
@@MetalPlessNick so it is using the mid pto on tractor then gearing down with a gearbox on the zuidberg hitch? Or is it using belt driven pto off front crank like bigger tractors
@@iceroad416 Nope, I'm based in Fargo, ND. We have many many 4066R/4052R schedule to arrive this Spring/Summer new, but as of right now no hot deals on used units. I may have some trades coming in as the 21-22 Season develops though!
@@MetalPlessNick and $40K for the Deere... so around $65,000. What other jobs do you use this machine for to be able to cashflow? Too large for sidewalks so you still have a snowblower/shovel crew to take care of them?
That version of the blower is a rear mount blower. The only reason it is on the front in this video is because a front PTO and mount was added to this particular tractor.
I’ve never seen a blower like that. That’s extremely slick and efficient
That blower is sick!
I await your video review Courtney!,
The home owner needs to put a few stakes in to mark the sides of the driveway. This is so much more efficient than a plow on a pickup.
Scrapes well on the reverse. Well done
Man I need this implemented this was so satisfying to watch lol
I never seen an attachment like that. Seen plenty of scrapers but not where the blower still worked? Great job.
Now that’s what I’m talking about!! Great machine!

It's a LOT of weight on the front of the machine -- that would be your drawback there.
@@MetalPlessNick Yea i know, and figured it would be, none to less, AWESOME set-up

Just mount it inverted. Problem solved. Never understood front mount
Makes me on my JD 445 and 47 snowblower look like a caveman with a really small stick!
This will be a big seller for sure!
That’s a first for me! I like it!!
How does she do in the slop?

Pronovost... the Rolls Royce and Ferrari of snow blowers.
Did you clean up the strips of snow left on the driveway?

I'd like to see what it does with driven on 2ft compact snow, cuz that's when most people call someone.

Is that a all hydraulic blower? Got the same tractor but no pto on front.
Is there a snow blower like this for a JD 3120?

That is the way to do that.
How many times has the front hitch broken driving down the road?
Zero. Been selling Zuidberg hitches with blowers/pushers on the front many years.
@@MetalPlessNick Hey Nick, just wondering how much (roughly) a Zuidberg hitch might add to a tractor of this size.
Not the hitch, the front axel. That's a lot of weight for a 4 series.
how wide is that 4052r with those tires on?
With the Nokian Tires, dished on the "inward" setting, it's 63" wide.
Just use a inverted blower !! Way faster and cheaper
просто бомба трактор
