Nice bike, I want the XL but really not sure whether to go for 27 or 29. Both OOS unfortunately :) How are you finding it? Was it a major upgrade over previous? Anything in particular you like/dislike?

This is the 27.5 in xl version. Love the bike it is a completely different bike compared to my last one, which was a 2012 marin.
I went for the 27.5 sentier vrs because it had 140mm travel forks compared to 130mm on the 29er. The only thing I was not keen on were the brakes, but since watching some videos on RUclips on how to clean and lubricate the pistons on the rear , they are now shit hot. The only thing that lets the bike down is my skill and experience, but I do have fun and it is fantastic being thrown down the trails.
I will be doing more videos with the camera mounted in different positions.

Paul Hughes: nice! Thanks for the detailed reply. I wasn’t sure if the XL was available for the 27.5 as it’s not even an option on CRC. It’s strange, Vitus sell lots of different models but not all of them are listed on the two only retailers they sell through. Perhaps they really are just that limited. I notice that Yanks are ordering them and getting them shipped.

No problem James. They are very popular bikes and great value for money with a great spec list. I managed to get the last 27.5 xl back in May, it's just a waiting game.
Have you done a live chat with crc or wiggle to find out when they are back in stock I can only advise you to set a email notification up on the model you want. And maybe follow the official vitus Facebook page as they have posted about stock on there before.

Paul Hughes - I did a bit of research on the internet archive and found that the 2020 models were listed in October last year so I’d anticipate that there’s no more stock. I suppose ordinarily based on that you’d expect the 2021 models to be listed in a few months, but these times are far from ordinary! Thanks for the advice I’ll see what happens. Really like the colour of this years though! :)
