That fall that can kill you was a poor level design. I get that there's a revive down there, but if your health is slightly low, you are dead. I think I've only ever landed on the revive once. I love this game, but man they could have put one or two ledges to land on and sort of "step down". Thanks for the walk-through! Loved playing this in 1995!
