Agreed. She has wrote #1 hits for other artists.....that she didn't have to give up but she did. She is beautiful in every way. Her and Willie Nelson singing together was phenomenal ♥️ Pure country.

There's a Zen-like quality to the songs on her new album...her new music is almost its own new genre. Such restraint and aching beauty in both the songwriting and her singing. I can't see how anyone would not be deeply moved by what she's doing.

It sounds great on vinyl too (which gets you a digital download too). So happy she was one of the early artists to capture the small vinyl resurgence that started around 2012/2013.

What makes her songs great - besides the intelligent, sometimes brilliant, lyrics - is the twists and turns in the melodies, the little grace notes and lifts. All of her music is just beautiful - and here I was, wondering if there was ever going to be popular music this good again, and somehow I didn't discover her until very recently!

I ask that same question, i never hear KM on the radio! It's so annoying but the mainstream radio like media is controlled by the control system and KM is way too high vibe for that shit
Radio play is bought by record labels. Not by quality. I stopped listening about a decade ago and never looked back.
@@MisterNelson23 interesting. I always thought record labels received royalties for plays. I listen to mainstream country radio all the time and only heard KM once, wasn't her new stuff either.
She's on Sirius XM radio. But not on the big stations like hits or the blend, or road trip radio. The stick her on a secondary country station, the coffee house, radio margaritaville and that's it. I've complained to Sirius about it (even became a blender to try shaping music on the blend) and nothing, though more of her songs have shown up.
@@MisterNelson23 Bruce Springsteen almost never got on the radio because of the politics of airplay. He got lucky to get a manager that got born to run on the radio. Basically a few execs from various companies meet and decide on a handful to promote, the rest claw for airti,e, no matter if they won a Grammy or not.
