      charlie chann I feel like one persons opinion of her wouldn’t be accurate. Like how you would have different people say different things about you. Also you have to factor that people who were once peers with famous people but did not ever reach any success themselves are often very very jealous and do nothing but spread negativity about them.

    Some people in the comments said her dancing is corny, but I love it. It’s the kind of dancing people do in their living rooms, dance classes, clubs, music festivals, etc. when they’re just really feeling the music and not worried about what anyone thinks of them. That’s that most freeing kind of dancing.

    Some people commenting here don't understand Maggie as an artist, she produced the track 'Alaska' herself in its earliest form.. so all those slating her need to understand that she is revolutionary.. it's no 'background' music; she pieces together samples from nature to make this composition!     What I see here is an artist that puts her full heart and soul into the music created, and the fearlessness of sharing it with the world. And as cheesy as the dancing is (its no BoA) I couldn't help but smile by the endearing nature of its drawing power. The kind of music that keeps touching the soul long after the first listen.     Ever since I watched the 'Masterclass with Pharrell' video, I've had this song on my playlists. Now that I've watched it performed live, I love it even more. Its so good to see an artist perform naturally and pure.
    No silly choreography, just an artist, expressing herself through her music. What a talent this young lady has, a real writer, singer, performer. True musician, not a Pop Tart.
    Hope to see much more from her in the future!

    What makes her great is that she is unafraid to be herself. Most music and artists these days are a version of something we’ve seen already. She’s unique. Which is what Ferrell loved about her to begin with I believe. Tash Sultana, Alana Davis, Beth Orton, Esthero, some of my favorite singer-song writers and she definitely falls into that category!

    I saw that masterclass video years ago, and my now wife and I saw Mumford and Sons in Philly and SHE opened for them! I felt absolutely exhilarated and proud that you hear someone who has got it and to see it right in front of you not long after made me have faith that pure artist like this can make it!!

      7 years later she has had a stadium tour with two sold out shows in Madison Square Gardens. I saw her live for the first time in Oct this year (2024) on her Don't Forget Me tour and it was amazing.
