Thankyou so much! Didn't want any other bloatware that came from the regular install and found this video. Easy & straight to the point!
Mate this video is definitely the most simple and to the point video loved it
Great video. Straight to the point, and very intuitive. Thanks a lot!!
Great video, thanks mate! Been looking for an easy to understand guide and fortunately this fit the bill! :)
OMG It worked. It was really annoying when Office setup automatically installs all those apps that I never use. I remember following some tutorials to install custom apps a few years back but nothing worked that time.
Thanks Man!!!
Great explanation! Thank you very much.
Best video on youtube for use of this tool. Clear and concise, thanks so much for sharing!
Tried lot of things but this works for me. Thanks for the Video.
This was exactly what I needed, thanks for making the video.
Really great video walkthrough - worked flawlessly.
That said, the grasp of Microsoft tightens again - within four days, MS 365 apps I didn't install just appeared on my start menu. Thanks again, Microsoft.
add to your configuration file
@@barnacleboy4487 I had that, but it still keeps installing other applications. Frustrated af. At this point I installed office like 10 times.
the only video that worked for me, thanks a lot.
I watched several videos but this was the easiest that worked for me. I tried it just once and bum, it was installing. Though it needed product activation, I used someone else video for that. Thanks anyway
Awesome explainer.
But, I've one doubt before I go ahead. Let's suppose I customise and install only Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Now if in the future say, I need to install OneNote, then shall I again make one customised install only for OneNote(when already previous Office products are installed) or should I uninstall previously installed Office completely and then reinstall with Word, Excel, PowerPoint & OneNote ?
I still come back here everytime I need to install it even in 2023!
i wish every guide on youtube was like you
Where do I download .img from? When i have mc apps from school
this is great. is there also a workaround to uninstall individual apps for Office Professional? I only need word teams and excel but of course I have the full suite installed.
Underrated. This is perfect
this video is amazing, thank you ^^
THank you so much for this video!
Great video, thank you!
You save my life! I have to say that MS services and app keep make things too complicated. I'm a music producer myself, kinda use to Windows, but I find these things are so annoying!
i really dont know understand why microsoft just decided to bundle everything and not let the end user choose what apps they want installed on their pc. Some users have lower end computers with not much space or resources and can potentially slow down their computers
If I already installed Microsoft 365 with all the programs in it, will I need to do a Microsoft 365 uninstall and reinstall to achieve this?
thanks for clear instruction
Thanks a lot! is have to nave a way to not install all the apps microsoft offer
How do you install it to a D drive instead of to the C drive?
Thanks, very clear. Removed Microsoft bloatware succesfully.
Thank you, i always wanted to know how to do this. It's very anoying have to install all the suite, without really need.
can I do this with the 365 education version for students?
thank youuuuu! it really work
Woo hoo! Thank you!! I just succesfully installed Access on a Macbook Air running Parallels. Lifesaver you are (in my best Yoda)
make sure to turn off automatic updates if you do this! auto updates can sometimes reinstall the ones you don't want
Can i install on another drive instead of my Os Drive C
Will other pre installed apps get uninstalled?.....after I custom install some of them
easiest and cleanest guide i wasted 2hr reading the blog.
thanks! i had to delete the other xml files except for the one we created in order for it to work
You are the MAN!
Omg Ty! Trying to use my works license that’s I’m authorized to use but I don’t need all their junk!
This is very helpful, thanks!
now these ms unwanted bloat is gone
Thank you so much!
Sir, is this your Direct video, or do you edit it??? ( Removing bg noise is ok)
I do some noise removal, yes :)
There's not a lot of noise in my room. Sometimes there is static if I don't unplug and plug my mic in again after a few hours. No idea where it comes from, but I guess windows? you'll hear some noticable noise in my videos from that.
i done this a while back on my pc to just install word and excel and have just revisited video to do my wife's laptop. Could i have just saved the folder i created to install on my pc and copied onto wife's laptop and run it to install word and excel...
Thanks a lot, struggle for a long time. It turns out I missed the double quote, and somehow the other tutorial didn't mention this keypoint.
thank for video, nice days
Thank you
How do i do this for mac os?
Hey you have beautiful voice and thank you for this information
Thank you so much.
thank you very much✨✨
Thanks Boss..
Well well well.. a great video and to the point. Not missing the single step. But one suggestion. Please upload the video which clear and actually visible of what you are narrating, because it too blurr right now. I kinda unable to follow cmd window where it was totally unclear of what were writing. But got through somehow. Worth watching anyways, keep it up.
Thank You
thanks for the video! kind of insane that you need to do this to not get bloatware
This is probably a stupid question, but: presumably these steps are for paid versions of office 365. At no point in these steps does am i made to sign into Microsoft.... am i missing something?
I have an office 365 account via my university that I log in to access the Apps online. I can also install the whole office suite from it. This it the suite from which I am trying to only install excel....
thank you!! i see microsoft is trying to be like Apple and turning something simple into 7 steps when they could've included a customization option in the installer
This does not work for me in 2024.
Initially it installs only the apps i selected but when office updates, it installs all the other stuff.
pause office updates? They are anyways of not much use
Damn, I tried this a few times for my Microsoft 365 Personal and I got an error message each time :( "Couldn't install. We're sorry, we had a problem installing your Office program(s).... ERROR CODE: 0-2048 (0) Has anyone else had this issue?
I have the exact same problem Idk what to do about this, I have internet access and enough space on my hard drive
I also Have This Issue
I also have this issue, so frustrating!
I figured out what my issue was,
What I wasn't doing right was when in the cmd prompt, after typing
setup.exe /configure configuration
I was missing
.xml
After the name of the configuration file which did not show ".xml" in it all it said as the name of the configuration file was "Configuration" no ".xml"
After putting that into the cmd prompt it worked!
The correct line I had to put was:
setup.exe /configure configuration.xml
Hope this was also your problem, and that this helps!
Thank you soooooo much :)
now, it cannot longer use
Supreme, I was just struggling with all this sh1t ad with your video got it first try, thanks.
👍👍👍
Good video for windows users but Mac users are left in the MUD !!! :)
Thanks. Finally got rid of microsoft bloatware
I can finally exclude that annoying Skype for Business lmao
first
why do these geniuses had to do shit like this, just put a god damn menu in your installer where i can tell you *NO, I DONT WANT ONENOTE, NOR SKYPE, NOT ANY OF YOUR OTHER CRAPWARE*
Because Microsoft wants you to use all of their apps.
Why is microsoft making this so complicated....
Mereka ingin kita mengenalkan aplikasi mereka, walau tidak kita perlukan
Very laborious and intentionally ANAL process by Microsoft, and I don't get their intention or why can't one simply uncheck apps they don't need, but this worked like a charm! I'm on Windows 11 ARM64.
BIG THANK YOU!
