Without the music, I suspect Zelda would just feel like a bog standard, bland rpg. Koji Kondo is a genius. The guy literally made this franchise as big as it is today. Very underrated.
without the music I don't think we'd even have called it an RPG when we were kids and thought any slow-paced fantasy game counted. it just sets the mood perfectly.
