Super Mario Party Jamboree - Party-Planner Trek: Mega Wiggler's Tree Party

Super Mario Party Jamboree is a game in the Mario Party series released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on October 17, 2024. First announced during the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024, it is the eighteenth (twenty-sixth, including arcade games) instalment in the Mario Party series, the thirteenth released on a home console, and the third released for the Nintendo Switch. Serving as a successor to Super Mario Party, albeit with gameplay mostly modelled after Mario Party Superstars, the game features both new and returning boards, in addition to over 110 minigames, and an expansive roster of 22 playable characters, including newcomers Ninji and Pauline. It marks the debut of Kevin Afghani as the voice of Waluigi, as well as being the first game in the Mario Party series to feature him as the voice of Mario, Luigi, and Wario.
A playable demo of the game was available at the Nintendo booth during PAX West 2024 prior to its release, from August 30 to September 2, 2024. A second demo was available to play in-stores from October 4, 2024.
Like with its predecessor, Super Mario Party Jamboree features the traditional Mario Party gameplay as the main mode of the game; players traverse a game board to collect coins in order to purchase Stars. The gameplay is overall more similar to Mario Party Superstars than Super Mario Party, sharing many of the same rules and mechanics, such as the dice rolling between one and ten and the occurrence of Bonus Minigames, where the coins won are doubled. Various new mechanics are introduced, such as a revamped version of the ally mechanic from Super Mario Party. On certain turns, a Jamboree Buddy will appear on the board. This buddy can be one of a number of characters from the playable roster, each having their own special effect. On top of this, all of them share the effect of causing every board action to happen twice, such as gaining or losing coins, buying items or Stars, or even Boos and Bowser Spaces. In order to obtain the Jamboree Buddy, players must reach them on the board, which will start a Showdown Minigame, a unique minigame themed after the buddy. The player who reaches the buddy first will gain a slight advantage over the other players during the minigame. The winner of the minigame will receive the Jamboree Buddy. When obtained, the Jamboree Buddy lasts for three turns. Other players may also steal the buddy by passing by the player who currently owns them. If no player reaches the Jamboree Buddy within 3 turns, they will be removed from the board. Also, each player's turn has a 30-second time limit now, in order to prevent the situation of the game lasts too long.
Paratroopa Flight School is a motion-controlled mode where players must flap their arms like wings to control their character, who is wearing Koopa Paratroopa wings. There are three different modes to play: Sky Battle, Koopa Paratroopa Taxi, and Free Flight. In Sky Battle, two players compete to try to gather as many Para-Biddybuds as possible within a time limit. Players can sneak from behind to steal Para-Biddybuds from each other. In Koopa Paratroopa Taxi, two players must cooperate to carry a third character to a certain location on the map.
Returning from Mario Party: Star Rush is the Coinathlon mode, now revamped into a new mode called Koopathlon. Compared to the original mode, there are now 20 players racing at once, rather than only four. At the end of every third minigame, a 20-player Bowser-themed Survivathon minigame starts, where Impostor Bowser attacks all 20 players at once. If the player loses this minigame, they are set back 10-30 spaces depending on their current placement; however, if they win, they will be given an item. Whoever is able to finish the race first wins.
While the real Bowser cannot be used in this game mode, it is still possible for players to play the Koopathlon minigames as him in the Minigame Bay.
