Danhausen is easily one of the most genuine, humble guys you'll meet. I met him in Everett at Bobakhan for the first time, he was in full get-up, but used his human voice. He was super down to earth. Then meeting him in passing the last couple times, I always make sure to say hello to him. Love this dude, Love That Danhausen!
I met Danhausen at an Indy show this weekend. I'm not an AEW guy so didnt know much about him and i must say I'd pay to see him wrestle again. This interview adds respect to it. Thanks Chris for this, I'm impressed and a fan.
Don’t count on it, he mostly does not wrestle much. You can see in the interview he is all in selling merch and not much else. In aew he wrestled only a few matches, showed up did his comedy stuff and that was it, same with roh before it was purchased. He is a good worker, but seems to be in wrestling for merch sales and to only make money.
i remember he was at a convention and no lie he sold all of his merch in like 1 day maybe in a few hours that's insane. its hard to sell out at a convention
@@MeThinks995 utter bullshit. Brody King, FTR and Darby Allin are all very close friends with Punk and they've been mainstays of television before, during and after Punk's exit.
I met Danhausen over here in the UK at Wolverhampton for Scrappermania and thanked him for being someone who helped me a lot mentally while watching his stuff during lockdown, with his match against Psycho Mike being the one I watched so much. I was so humble and grateful to hear he helped, plus I own like 4-5 Danhausen shirts and that was before I had even watched.

If Tony left him out of a contract..... We would have seen him in the Rumble(unless I'm wrong and it's the best kept secret in WWE). I think Tony knows how much revenue he would bring to the WWE and won't let him go due to his own greed. 🤷🏾♂️ His contract won't last forever
@@ThatGuy-hb1myI'd say Tony has gone back on his word now when it comes to letting talent go. The only way I could see Tony considering letting a talent go is if they have no plans to join WWE.
I met Danhausen at a Prestige Wrestling show in Portland, OR and he was such a nice and gracious dude. Just thanked him for helping make wrestling fun and he seemed to really appreciate that. Love that Danhausen.
Loved when he was on Conan O’Brien and all his in character interviews. Guy is charismatic that I barely even watched him wrestle. Great character to have in any promotion
Comedy wrestling is extremely polarizing. Some people love it and others hate it with a passion. I wouldn't watch a wrestling show that was 100% comedy but I really enjoy it. Danhausen helped me and my kids get through lock down. The pandemic was a dark and isolating time. I really appreciate the role that a comedy wrestler can play. I look forward to anything that he does in the future.
Danhausen is one of my favourites. During the peak of pandemic, Danhausen and Warhorse's social media banter was a source of amazing comedy. I miss them asking each other "did you win?" 😂 I actually yelled when Danhausen appeared on AEW television for the first time. Great interview! Thanks so much!
Man this interview definitely takes me back to the last interview during pandemic when he was on fire. Definitely was a weird time, but it was one of the best times to see a lot of cool interviews that we may have only got a chance to see because of zoom and all the opportunities that came out of being on lockdown.
That man immediately clocked me lmao, I wasn’t into wrestling before but then a RUclipsr I watched was talking about him so I checked him out. Thought he was sick, bought his action figure, and now I’m obsessed with wrestling
I heard a Danhausen interview on a local radio station and thought he was so funny so I started following him on social media. I met him at a comic book store and I was terribly nervous and awkward, but he was so genuinely kind to me. He is the reason I started to watch wrestling as a 35 year old woman. I bought tickets to an AEW show in Detroit before he was injured and even though I was sad he didn't make an appearance, my brother and I had the best time. It was probably the most fun I had the whole year. I would love to see him back on TV, in whatever form, cartoon, wrestling or otherwise. Love that Danhausen.
This Man is too nice. He takes the higher road. Most people would rightfully trash that company the powers that be that have kept him off tv to spite an ex employee. Better man than most.
I met Danhausen at one of the local comic shops near me a few years back, and he gave me the best advice I got related to training to be a wrestler: stick with it. Keep training, keep learning, keep an open mind, and you'll get there. 3 years later, I'm working the indies now, both to wrestle and ref, and I love it. Danhausen truly is Very Nice, Very Evil.
I was there for the AEW debut in Cleveland. My brother, our best friend, and I had seen him so many times in AIW the last 3-4 years previously, that we were some of the first ones to know it was him before the TV cameras picked it up.

He's legit super nice and I love that we get to see that side of him in this interview.
Talking about what made you connect with a specific wrestler. I found this guy called Danhausen who is my age, grew up in the same area I did, liked all of the same silly references, watched the same movies and cartoons I did, and put that together into a very memorable character. I’ve been admiring the Misfits Horror Business shirt this whole time. I see Danhausen and I see someone I’d be friends with.
Normally, I’m not a Danhausen fan, but the guy behind him, always has me intrigued. And also, he’s very smart to create a character that is getting him vote for our comiccoms, AEW, all that shit! I admire his creativity to make money
