I love that we can count on TCC to provide us with the depth and nuance that differentiates the decor of torture chamber from what kidnapping is a prerequisite for. TCC humor with just a dash of creepy. Faaaaaantastic :)

Wow. You do a damn good job at making these great videos. You get the perfect angle on your desk so that it looks like a nice office, and not a jankey torture basement. You also do a good job editing. The basic slide-show like slides give your videos that community college feel, which is great for the theme of your channel.

My girlfriend and I regularly watch your channel, and look forward to when your video comes out. We have found it to be really helpful in purchases and our learning more about the game (and for me this has been especially true for deck construction). Thank you for putting in all that effort to create such excellent videos. To me, you always come across as very personable with a good sense of humor about the game itself, which I really like. Again, thank you for creating such wonderful videos, and I hope you and your wife have a great Thanksgiving!

Professor, I've watched this show for a long time, this is my first time posting. I truly enjoy the product you make and have your channel running almost constantly as I make and build decks or just sort through my pointless large pile of random cards. The only card store in town shut down last year just as I was getting back into Magic last year so now the nearest place is over 2 hours away and there is no local community to play with on a regular basis. I work with a scout troop in town and your commitment to Pauper and budget decks really helps me share the game with these new fans.
This video is probably my favorite that you have posted and I am sad it took me so long to find it. Thank you for what you do and the window into your production system.

  • @troy242621

One of my friends introduced me to Magic about three or so months ago, and I went onto RUclips to investigate. I was never really that interested, always played Yu-Gi-Oh as a kid, but him teaching me the basic of MTG made me interested.
That's when I found your channel, and watched your "Are _____ Worth It" and deck techs that explained the strategies in MTG. Since that time, I've become hooked and have already spent $80 on the game, and play with people on campus in the commons just about every other day.
It's really awesome that people like them and you share your hobby, because without this kind of exposure, I never would've joined the community, and never would've played the game. That would've been a shame, because I've met some awesome people, and never realized how popular the game actually is.
I don't know if you read comments this long, but I wanted to just say thanks for having an awesome channel!

Thanks to your videos I have being able to grow as a magic player and better understand the concept of so many formats. If it wasnt for this channel I would have never being so interested in making my first commander deck. Thank you and keep up the great work. Happy Thanksgiving Professor!

Wonderful and entertaining video as always! Just one note; you may want to give a little more slack on that XLR cable running into your shotgun mic. Too much stress like that on the cable where it meets the jack can be bad news that you don't find out about until after you've recorded your audio.

Hey prof, I always thought you had a team of 3-4 people too because of how high quality your videos are. I mean they are quite possibly the highest quality Magic videos on RUclips right now and that's going up against channels like command zone and manasource. It really amazed me when you said you do this alone which is not only inspiring but admirable. Keep doing what you're doing prof you're awesome.

I don't comment on videos usually, but I love each and every one of the videos you post. The reason I'm commenting this time is because I noticed something I haven't seen before in your videos. YOU'RE LEFT-HANDED!!!! Makes two of us. I'm just glad to know that other south paws exist.

Thanks for this. As a former youtuber myself with only myself as a 'staff member', a lot of people give us a lot of crap about how making money on videos like this is a joke without realizing the amount of work that goes into it. I'm a technical trainer in a field that I feel quite comfortable with and yet I still found my youtube channel to require as much or more dedication than my normal job. Keep doing what you're doing.

Very well done video professor. Not many people on RUclips give behind the scenes look like this, so it is nice to see it every once in a while. I also cannot believe that you do this work all by yourself, I am sure that it requires the utmost concentration. Have a happy Thanksgiving professor.

Hey i just wanted to say that I love the enthusiasm you have towards MTG. I had little to no knowledge of the game however one day I decided "why not give it a shot", so I downloaded the app and quickly grew addicted to it. Within days I spent the better hours of my day grasping my iPad as I played with bots only. I wanted to get better so I subscribed to your channel, however I lacked the time and resources to move past the learning curve. Even though I don't play as much anymore I still love watching your videos because of the passion you carry towards the game. Thank you for all the time and effort you have invested it, I only wish I find a passion as you have for this game.

Awesome video! I always appreciate and value transparency. It's been very apparent how much time and effort goes into your videos. This was a very eye-opening inside look to what you go through to post your top-of-the-line content. Thanks for the insight!

I love your videos and I am always happy to see a new one. I'm very impressed to hear that you make all these videos on your own, learning as you go! The quality of your videos are truly excellent and I would never have guessed that you don't have any formal training for this! I'll start supporting you on patreon right away as I want to continue enjoying new vidoes from you and also thank you for your hard work.
