My r3 seems to be quicker 0-45mph than my old cbr 600 f4… i guess because its a twin. But above 45mph, that 600 was like a missile all the way to 150mph+ while the r3 tops at around 115mph. The R3 is a more all around bike though like a scooter you can use to run errands, its also good on gas and cheap on insurance. On stop lights, the r3 will leave any car with less than 300hp..i also use it regularly on freeways cruising at 80mph+, you can do triple digits if needed… although on days when you have 20mph+ wind gusts, you need to slow down a little, wind can change your direction because it is so light.
I’ve ridden mine in pretty seriously high winds and never had too much trouble. I do weigh about 250# though so I’m sure that probably helps. Also even weighing that much I can still cruise at 80 mph+ on the highway. I top off at around 100. Still not bad for a 321cc. When I tell people it’s a 300 they automatically assume it’s just a slow little baby bike. They usually don’t understand what the R3 is capable of.

From my place to the highway I have to go through a residential neighborhood with about ten stops signs and the blocks between are short. So it’s pretty much a first gear ride between stop signs. Like I said it’s annoying as hell. Even making the smallest throttle adjustments the bike lurches. Anyone else annoyed by this?

@@lunoirxx it’s claimed at a stock 0-60mph 5.11? So that’s like 5.3 seconds 0-100kph. Decent for something that has the weight of a tissue box. A lot of our 1.9 tonne vehicles are doing that.

I think people forget how fast motorcycles are, guys will say a 300 is slow but that would be on par with most sports cars off the line, that's pretty fast
@@batmotontiktok a person would have to be blind to think that this was 100 mph. The Ninja 400 only goes about 6 or 8 mph faster, it doesn't have as much engine breaking, it doesn't have inverted front forks, and it doesn't look as good. I'd take the R3 personally, but to each his own 👍.
I figured out a way to kinda do launch control on my R3 to get it up to speed much quicker. I kinda hold the throttle at 7k rpm and jus drop the clutch n just boost off
@Ben Langley do you know anything about bikes that's not that fast when you talking about 1000cc I have a modded mt07 that has insane torque if you know what that is can get up to 100 very quickly

@Ben Langley oh eight yeah mine has been modded has all power performance upgrades and went up 2 in the back down 1 in front so 0 to 150 ish is much quicker than standard mt07
I highly doubt even a modded mt07 can do 0-100 in 3 secs, not even my Ducati Supersport with 113 hp can do that with one less teeth on the front sprocket, and it's the torque king of its class at almost 97 nm, not even an mt09 has that much torque, and it comes 2000rpm sooner than an mt09. The Supersport can barely break 3,5 sec and very few selected or modded motorcycles, mostly liter bikes get to break the 3 sec barrier , and I don't think an mt07 engine is one of them.

My R3 got4-5sec too from 0-100kmh . My weight is around 120kg. Stock ECU but i change my exhaust . It's make a bit more torque

Yeah I had a heavy side wind come in once while I was riding mine and bout sent me down, front tire almost dipped left
