48 Hours in Albania: Insane 50km Theth to Valbone Hike from Shkoder

- We had no idea what to expect in Albania, and to be totally honest, Anne planned this entire trip as a surprise and Jeff had zero idea where they were going until literally the moment they landed in Tirana.
Hiking the amazing Peaks of the Balkans trails, the hiking in Albania is absolutely stunning and spoiled my over tourism of anykind.
We visited the amazing blue eye watering hole for a swim and hiked over 50km around Theth and across the ridge to Valbone - one of the most stunning hikes we have ever done.
We didn't know much about Albania before we landed in Tirana, but we'll never forget it now - one of our most adventurous and surprising weekend adventures yet!
Albania may have a sordid past, but it will be one of the most popular hiking and adventure travel destinations in the coming years, we promise, so go now before it gets too busy!
While you may only know Albania for their stunning beaches in the south or as the bad guys in many movies, it is so, so much more and somewhere to be added to your bucket list immediately!

Everywhere you go in Albania, you never run out of stunning landscapes. It is full of mountains and crissed crossed rivers and lakes, waters running everywhere. There isn't a single place in Albania where you can't see mountains.
I feel the mountains are like our parents, our friends and our protectors. I just love mountains so much. I have them on the back of my home and I got the sea in the front. It's a paradise the place where we were born and grew up. Never realised it how beautiful my country was until I left it and went to live abroad.
Now I appreciate every single bit of it and love it more.....
I was there in summer one of the best places i've ever been and i have been in 30 different countries

Really cool video guys! Love it that more and more people are discovering Albania and all the beauty it has to offer. If you visit the country again, you should also go to Bovilla Lake (near Tirana) and Apolonia and Butrint in the South :)

Watching this video made me extremely happy and proud of Albania. Valbona is my favorite place and seeing that both of you loved Valbona, the forests and the fresh air made me feel happiness. Nele Caeyers the best place i can recommend that’s has gorgeous views is Valbona. Fresh oxygen, forests , and right now it is snowing and the place is fabulous. The mountains are breathtaking and it is the right place if you want adventures and delicious traditional dishes.

The history of Albania is incredible, spent a fantastic week there two years ago, also with Transavia from AMS, friendly hard working people who are always happy to help. Shout out from England here. I spent two weeks in Tirana (great place) had my first trip on the near by cable car up a steep incline and had THE BEST BURGER I've ever had. Clean food and spicy also as I were chatting to a few locals at a bar we had some Chess fun. Happy, Polite and welcoming people are the Albanians ! I still consider migrating to Siranda but dont have the money yet :-(
