Asmongold is a person who uses his common sense and facts for his opinions, unlike other youtubers who are constantly looking for validation from people even if the people are factually wrong or right.

30 days is a real exercise in discipline! I wouldn't be able to do it unless I made some exceptions or cheat days.

That's how far common sense and a sound mind would take you nowadays. most vocal people of today lacks both.

I did a little experiment recently after complaining to RUclips about how reaction channels/content was dominating the RUclips landscape. They basically don't give af so I did my first reaction video. It got 12,000 views in six days. My average video, if I'm lucky, gets about 200 views in that same time frame.
Reaction channels take advantage of some mechanisms that I'm not privy to speak in specifics about. But what I'll advise to anyone trying to make it on this platform? "Transform" other people's videos because RUclips simply doesn't care. As long as it's not Hollywood movies and TV shows/major label music that you are reacting to.
Asmond Gold is a great example but upcoming channels are Jack Morgan RLP and Legion of Men. They suck viewership from viral videos.

@@RealHomeRecording I've definitely taken note if this effect before. A part of me is considering trying it for fun just because I personally don't think it's bad unless you're literally adding nothing to the content you're reacting to. I feel like Asmon adds a fair amount to the content.
But I'm curious, now that you got 12,000 views so quickly, are you going to keep up with that content?

@@ScottyLuu "I personally don't think it's bad unless you're literally adding nothing to the content you're reacting to."
Agreed to an extent. Most important, RUclips agrees and so do the majority of people who watch reaction style content. The thing I do like about Asmond is he credits his sources. A lot of creators who steal/react don't do that and it REALLY bothers me.
"now that you got 12,000 views so quickly, are you going to keep up with that content?"
Yes...but not on this channel, necessarily. This one I will still aim to produce original content. On my personal channel, I will turn it into reaction style content and use whatever money is generated to make some original content that costs $$$ to produce. The kind of videos I desire to make but don't have the extra money to produce at the moment.

The most successful reaction channels are authentic. Many people watch them because they're curious what the persons thoughts and or feelings are about whatever it is that they're reacting to. I think people catch on to the ones who aren't really adding anything of value to the reaction and end up not watching them anymore. I would probably do reaction content myself, but I would have to stream and react to stuff and I don't want to do that unless if I had a virtual model as I value my privacy. But I'm definitely opinionated enough to do reaction content. I also don't have as much time to react to content because of other things I'm trying to achieve in my life.

As a casual viewer of Asmon, I can attest that I will stumble on quality creators from his commentary/react style stuff and that is the sole reason I actually click on one of their videos in my feed. Force Gaming and Legendary Drops are two channels that immediately come to mind. I saw Asmon react to a few of their videos over the last year or two it has made me watch at least half a dozen of their videos each. So in my experience his channel has been very useful for me, Asmon himself, and other creators, but I know that for different react channels that is not the case. I think Asmon is one of the better react creators for that reason.
