Also I think the unique aspect of constellations is that they allow champions to do more things without leveling up. Leveling up champions is hard, some of the best player in LOR history are Eddy fanatics because he's arguable the champion that does the most without leveling or even being played. So why not have Niko ramp your entire deck just by playing her?

I think any sort of elitism towards path of champion players, or players looking to getting into building decks for the first time in the format of their choice is a bad stance to take. As long as I'm playing the game and I represent the best a format has to offer we're happy to have you, just don't be surprised if I might be confused by a few of your plays.

You compare the new constellation system to Gotcha’s, but as someone who has played a lot of Path, I think constellations remove most of the Gotcha elements from Path, which is a great thing. Ive gotten more free resources from Path in the past week than I have in the entire past year before the update. Path is, and always has been, a Roguelike. And there is a HUGE portion of the roguelike playerbase that would love a roguelike deckbuilder with more intricate mechanics. As good as a game like Slay The Spire is, it is still very simple in terms of mechanics. LoR has been in a very good position to fill this hole with Path for a while now, but Path has had a major issue. It sucked. More specifically, its loot system sucked. The amount of champion upgrade material to go around was EXTREMELY limited, and most of it was for random champions. Which is a huge issue because certain champions are just not good in Path. Champions like Janna, Annie, Ornn, or Tahm Kench are simply not anywhere near as good as champions like Yasuo, Bard, Jinx, or Teemo. So if you spend hours grinding for material and it ends up being for a bad champion, you just wasted a ton of time because that champion still sucks. It could take weeks of grinding to get one solid champion. After this update tho, you play for an hour and you can upgrade 1 of 12 different champions. This is a HUGE improvement to the roguelike experience because no longer am I putting in a 6 hour grind session just to end up with materials for entirely useless champions. If LoR can advertise this new update as a complete overhaul designed to create a more fluid roguelike experience, they could really pull in a large number of players.

@@EternalKing-LegendsOfRuneterra Not trying to say you’re wrong or anything, just wanted to give a deeper insight on what the prevailing issues of Path were and why this update is huge for fixing those issues. Sorry if I came off as rude

yeah PVP ladder will be able to sustain itself for a little while just thanks to new titles and a tighter rotation period for standard and eternal. But people will want new cards eventually.
