    I just received my Boucher jumbo torified maple 12 string last week and I can tell you, it's mind blowing. I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I played it for the first time . The depth, balance, shimmer, base like a grand piano. The easiest guitar to play I've ever had.Far exceeded what I had imagined.Worth every penny.

    Wow the notes are balanced and clear. The overtones are not muddy at all. I think Robin will have a number one seller amongst 12 string enthusiasts.

    This doesnt have that chorusing effect but rather a doubling effect which makes it sound it thicker and more balanced and just WOW!!

    Hey JP and Robin, I would like to request a comparison of apples to apples so to speak between a BG and an SG Dreadnaught I know you did one, but they were not the same wood and so I could never actually discern the difference in the sound exactly and I’m trying to decide which one to purchase. Thanks

    Is this considered a prototype because of the new mold / new recipe for a 12 string dread from Boucher? Just curious because Boucher previously made 12 string dreads. This one sounds absolutely amazing!!

      @heyguys1685 Martins standard line of d-18 and d-28 are 3k. Bouchers are 5-6k. Martin still sounds better for $3,000 LESS. Have fun with your Martin wannabe guitars 😅

    J.P., it sounds like the guitar is tuned a half step down. Is this a technique you typically employ, or is there another reason why this is so? Thank you for posting this video. Boucher instruments continue to dazzle me with their sound and appearance. I await the day I get to play one, or, better still, purchase one.

    • @cajunqueen5125
      @cajunqueen5125 8 месяцев назад

      @uvp5000 Yes tuned down. 12-str guitars often tuned down 1 or 2 steps (according to player preference) to reduce the overall string tension on the neck.

    • @uvp5000
      @uvp5000 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@cajunqueen5125 Thank you. To this point, I had not been aware of this.

    • @gam1471
      @gam1471 8 месяцев назад

      @@cajunqueen5125 Tuning down also makes the action a bit easier - but I've never come across a twelve string that I've got on with because of the action. Even Taylor doesn't seem to be able to offer an easy-playing 12-string guitar.
