What you forget about Marty Jannetty that has since come to light - he tried to have the Rockers jump ship to WCW without Shawn knowing. Marty was making calls, telling Shawn that he was handling things, but when Shawn talked to Vince about their going to WCW, Vince didn't know. THAT was right before the Barbershop. People always saw what happened to Marty as harsh, but reality is, he brought it on himself because he tried to go into business for himself almost at the cost of dragging someone else with him. You don't do that. Going behind the boss' back and doing so with the fate of another without them knowing either is a bad move.
Jannetty was a POS and I'm fine with what happened to him. The best example is a time they were wrestling some jobbers. After a move, the jobber told Jannetty "I think my neck is broken." Jannetty told him, and I quote, "stop being a pussy" and signaled for Michaels, who had no idea, to hit him with a top rope move. His neck was indeed broken, and Jannetty being human garbage instead left him a quadriplegic.
I expected the Mega Powers and the Rockers to be on this list. I'm not sure if this was meant to be a top 10 list. I noticed that the Rockers were mentioned as #1 which doesn't surprise me one bit. I've met Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty on separate occasions after the split. I'll just say that from talking with them and the vibes I got, the Rockers' break-up was inevitable for many reasons.

I was always of the opinion that once Road Warrior Hawk died that should have been the end of the Road Warrior’s/Legion of Doom. The recreation with Heidenreich and Animal should have been teased leading to an Animal heel turn at best. Something similar to the false “reformation” of the original DX back in 2002-2003, where Shawn Michaels was tricked into believing he was reforming the team with Triple H and then brutally beaten and laid out by Triple H. Heidenreich could have been led to believe he was “Hawk’s replacement” until a point where Animal would viciously attack him, leaving him laying in a puddle of his own blood.
Wow. I did not, let me reiterate, I did not know that John Kronos passed away. I didn't even know that him and Saturn didn't like each other. That three way rivalry between The Gangstaz, The Eliminataz, and The Pit Bulls was intense. I miss ECW.
For retro Shawn Michaels fans out there before the rockers were known as the rockers they were in the awa under the team name of the midnight rockers. When they came to wwe because of the midnight express they shortened it from the midnight rockers to the rockers.
Honestly I think Hogan was ultimately more detrimental than helpful to the Wrestling industry in the long run. At least for the so called “hardcore fans”, who were more interested in the art than the entertainment aspect.
Hogan was on top. He wanted to stay there. I don't like it but I get it. Hogan was making more money than anybody in the business had ever seen. The entire WWF was all about entertainment and less about actual wrestling during the Hogan era. The NWA/WCW of the 1980s was all about WRESTLING.
No mention of the Blade Runners? We all know that Ultimate warrior was a problem child, missing shows, showing up late, botching moves, while Sting was trying to learn his craft.
They didn't really hate each other though. The personal problems started after they split, when Warrior started thinking Sting was burying him with promoters
I once heard neither of these two tagteams got long in real life. MNM (Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro w/Melina) La Resistance (Sylvain Grenier & René Duprée)
Alot of the beef between the rockers started after they split. After their match bombed at Royal Rumble 93 Michaels told Vince it was because Jannetty was off his face and wasted and got him fired. Then when Vince found out that it was actually Shawn Michaels that was off his face and tanked the match be brought Jannetty back and had Michaels drop the intercontinental title to him on Raw as punishment. Then after that Michaels was just constantly trying to get Marty burried behind the scenes. I am glad though they they now seem to have made amends with eachother because lifes too short and they really are one of the greatest tag teams ever.
What about the Young Stallions? Jim Powers & Paul Roma were the definition of JOBBERS until one day the WWE personal and writers decided to make Roma and Powers as a Tag Team. They were still JOBBERS but they were gaining a Fan base. As a result the WWE gave the Young Stallions a decent push and place them in a HUGE Tag Team survivor Series event with incredible Tag Teams like Demolition, on, The Killer Bees , Strike Force, The British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation & etc. Unfortunately Powers EGO took his toll and as a result Neither him and Powers didn't like each other which in the end finished off the Young Stallions concept. NEITHER one reach their status that was achieved as a the underdog Tag Team force.
... Kidman and London did not share the same move, paul tried it two or three times, but it wasn't even really shooting Star, more of a reverse corkscrew, Kidman did the shooting Star press, London did the 450 splash that was their finishers... taker can do the chokeslam 20 million times but just because he occasionally uses it, don't mean that's his finisher his is always either the last ride or the tombstone. But the shooting star is essentially a backflip that's going forward, the 450 is kind of like a 2 consecutive somersault in mid air, and the final flip isn't even a full turn it's one and a half and you land on your stomach on top of the guy. it's why the shooting star was banned for so many years because once your feet leave the turnbuckle or the ropes or wherever Kidman or Sydel did you have next to no control as to where you're going to land and how you're going to land which is why Kidman concussed chavito cuz his knee was driven right into Chavos head.
@@josephsmithmeyer1195 right, I did say he did do it but it never looked right and the shooting star is one move where the appearance is everything, that and the burning hammer (the FULL version) aretwo moves that if they don't look right that means they're not done right (and ironically they are the two most dangerous finishers in wrestling history) & I would not trust with a rookie,450 is relatively safe because everyone can do a somersault just a matter of getting high enough for full rotation, and even if you do mess up, you can put your arms out and do a lot of things to prevent major injury, shooting star you're literally saying to your opponent "this could look cool as hell or you can get paralyzed, put a coma, concussed.... Or dead so good luck"

i enjoy eliminators as tag team in ecw when i was younger. there ecw world tag title match vs dudley boyz at ecw 1997 barley legal ppv was great. still got that ppv tape. good times!
My god, the dynamite kid must have sucked at blading. I counted at least 5 giant scars on dude's forehead.
Hogan never wanted Savage to have the belt period so Savage went at him hard and wild
I guess Tom Zenk felt Rick Martel had too much "Arrogance".
Wow. I did not, let me reiterate, I did not know that John Kronos passed away. I didn't even know that him and Saturn didn't like each other. That three way rivalry between The Gangstaz, The Eliminataz, and The Pit Bulls was intense. I miss ECW.
I always liked Janetty more than Michaels.
BlackSheep I.F.I. Me too. Big time.
matt awesome. Thanks for your feedback.
lol
Really? Why though?
Marty was arguably the better of the two when they were the rockers
Poor Hiedi. Anyone would've fallen short standing in Hawk's spot.
Tully and Arn, Road Warriors, Hart Foundation, Midnight Express and Rock and Roll Express are my all time favorite tag teams.
@Johnny Guillotine see if I care, you're an Attitude Era fan
The actual Match Shawn Michaels vs Marty Jennatty is One of the Best Matches i ve ever seen,
You forgot me and my wife..
Ooh, self burns! Those are rare.
Hot tag me in.
Ok boomer
Yeah
@@user-gt8fw1uz9v ok yoomer
Hogan: Hey Randy I got some Coke!
Randy: Ohhh Yeaaaaah dig it!
The Soul Patrol shocked me the most
Honorable Mention: Grumpy Ole Anderson and ANYONE he ever tagged with. ;)
For retro Shawn Michaels fans out there before the rockers were known as the rockers they were in the awa under the team name of the midnight rockers. When they came to wwe because of the midnight express they shortened it from the midnight rockers to the rockers.
Rock n Roll Express
Midnight Express
Midnight Rockers
Midnight Rockers/The Rockers were Rock n Roll Express clones.
Piper A R I’d say wamalama bamalama rock n roll is king
Honestly I think Hogan was ultimately more detrimental than helpful to the Wrestling industry in the long run. At least for the so called “hardcore fans”, who were more interested in the art than the entertainment aspect.
Hogan was on top. He wanted to stay there. I don't like it but I get it. Hogan was making more money than anybody in the business had ever seen. The entire WWF was all about entertainment and less about actual wrestling during the Hogan era. The NWA/WCW of the 1980s was all about WRESTLING.
Art is entertainment, wrestling is and always has been simply a form of entertainment
The snow reference. It came right after the pick where elizabeth is standing between hulk and mach and wiping her coke nose. Lol
Fun fact not that any of u care but my mom dated perry Saturn for a while year
I remember Perry Saturn in WCW. I know he used to be with the 619 guy and Eddie Guerrero. Not sure if Perry was of Hispanic decent like they were
@Mike Brah my mom said hes just really fucking weird lmao same with raven she's met him a few times
I thought it was assumed that Marty would be the breakout star of the Rockers post-breakup.
You were drinking at the time
No mention of the Blade Runners? We all know that Ultimate warrior was a problem child, missing shows, showing up late, botching moves, while Sting was trying to learn his craft.
They didn't really hate each other though. The personal problems started after they split, when Warrior started thinking Sting was burying him with promoters
It started when warrior got himself fired and blamed Sting for it. His own drug use issues got himself fired.
@@1Outis1 Yeah, but I don't think it qualifies for this video when the hatred started after the tag team split
List starts at 1:15.
Whoa! Are you serious with the 4 commercials during this 12:54 clip? Ridiculous!
I once heard neither of these two tagteams got long in real life.
MNM (Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro w/Melina)
La Resistance (Sylvain Grenier & René Duprée)
Rick Martel - Tito Santana
Hogan savage megapowers team was a disaster.
Even when they first formed a team, you knew it was only a matter of time before savage turned on hulk.
They did at first the london swithched
So Bagwells spouse Mrs. Bagwell was also his mom on TV?
Uh…. No…? 🤡🤡
"You smile too much, pal"😂😂😂
My favorite tag team was the stretchmarks on Bulldogs left shoulder and the stretchmarks on his right shoulder.
I owned a limousine service in the Tampa area in the 80s and 90s. Hogan used my services for all of his transportation needs. Ive got a lot of insite on why Hogan and Randy didn't get along. You were only part right.
The list of people who don't like Michaels is limited to only those who have at least one letter in their name
Hogan and Macho didn't hate each other until around 1992 and not during the Mega Powers
Perry Saturn never returned to ECW after tearing his ACL; he signed with WCW while still rehabbing and somehow came back in roughly 4 months from a torn ACL.
