They just toned back the politics in the movie to a point where people could stomach it. The company that made it wanted to make Peach the ULTIMATE girl boss, and some parts of that was still visible in the movie. On the other side of that, at least it didn't slam the characters, the fans or pulled back on any of the jokes.
@@sigmacademy peach is quite strong she can dispel evil magic and with the help of an ally can take down bowser easily, she is also considered a goddess so i would go for it.

I'm not sure how I feel. Hook and Smee look AMAZING and Wendy is decent just generic but Peter is my real deciding factor. I'm not sure if he's had much acting experience but some of the line deliveries out of context were a bit off but so was the direction. Hope it's all way better in the final film, still i can't help but wonder if this version will get buried like Pan and many others.

Sometimes scenes are spliced together in the trailer but when you watch the actual film you realize the lines that were said were from
completely different scenes. Maybe that's also the case for this film.

I couldn’t agree more. Peter is supposed to be mischievous, ornery and a little proud. Even when this actor delivers lines that are supposed to be insulting he sounds polite and mature.

I loved the part where Hook dropped the snow globe and whispered, "Rosebud." It brought a tear to my left eye.
Does anyone know if they're gonna make a Peter Pan and Wendy 2? I recently saw this movie and thought it was actually pretty good. I loved it! I thought it was just as good as the animated version and in some ways, was even better! Also just as good as the version from Universal Pictures as well. But the movie left me hanging me though. I really wished Disney would give this movie a sequel! I really think this movie deserves and needs one very much! I even started a petition for all this as well.

It's about time they showed what the crocodile looked like. I know there weren't gonna be a Peter Pan movie without him. It's just hilarious to see Old Cod Fish getting scared of the crocodile. When my family and I went to Disneyland, we were getting out of the restaurant and saw Hook walking by and some band too from different directions. And one of the band members made the tick tock noise, and Cod Fish ran away because he thought the crocodile's coming. 😂

Jude Law as Captain Hook and Jim Gaffigan as Mr. Smee? Maybe the movie won’t be horrible. Maybe they can save it. Carry it on their backs to a generic rating. Maybe. Thing is, it’s got the same kind of look as the “Where the Wild Things Are” movie does, meaning drained of color and life. It worked in that movie, but this is Peter Pan. Neverland. The drained of color and life would be a great way to show the world of London, but once you get to Neverland it should be bright and colorful to illustrate the contrast. But Neverland looks just as lifeless. Hmmm.
I think they are going for a darker tone with this one. I'm glad they are because Alice in Wonderland and Jungle Book did that and I liked it whilst Pinocchio and Lion Kind tried to copy the original and made it worse.
@@ezchannel493 you can keep true to the original magic and look of the original movie, while doing something new. This is supposed to be a story about a magical land and flying children who kill pirates, but this looks like a cross between Where the Wild Things Are and Pirates of the Caribbean. I don’t know if it’ll be a good mix. I’ll wait till it comes out.

Not a spoiler, since the movie Hook was out in 2016. And a prequel to Peter pan. They were best friends and then he got jelous on Peter, and thats why they are enemies now.

This is going to be Disney’s best remake. Why? Because the director doesn’t just make cash grabs, he makes passion pieces. He’s also specifically stated this movie takes a lot from JM Barrie’s original story, and focuses a lot on Hook’s backstory. It’s also inspired by The Lighthouse and The Revenant.
This looks really good! Always loved Peter Pan as a kid!! This live action looks on par with the animated classic!
And if y'all have a problem with Yara as Tinkerbell, it's a "you" problem and nothing else!
