I’ve caught him on numerous occasions smiling and laughing watching your interviews. Thank you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable and share your life story with the world.
Repeat has amazing insight into his family of origin issues. I'm sure prison provided groups and therapy enabling him to gain insight into his childhood trauma. That's the first step to recovering from childhood trauma. I would love for him to get therapy at his local county mental health facility. If he has a probation officer he could get inked to his county services free of charge. I know for me, I had to feel the pain of my past in order to liberate myself from it. Grieving was excruciatingly painful but I'm liberated from my past. The price of freedom is high but always worth it. I’m sad to hear of Hye Jung’s passing 😔 She was hurting… mentally and physically. The drug was the only way she knew how to make herself feel something. I think the only thing we can do is bring awareness about how important it is to really love and nurture a child ;especially early on in their lives . I hope I’m one day able to bring awareness especially to low income families & first generation kids from immigrants . I know it has taken me a long time to even figure out that I’m not like other people . Now I’m just in that journey of learning how to heal , forgive myself for all the things I’ve done to myself and just be present and happy 🤍

@11:27 Repeat refers to himself as "taciturn" and I agree with his assessment. He is incredibly eloquent and articulate while also managing to give off an air of the proverbial laconic cowboy.
Psychologists ask a question of people who have been through trauma, the answer shows a lot (think hard about the answer!): Repeat, if you ever read this, try answering this one question: 'If there were wild bears in your area, threatening to hunt down everyone, would you go to deal with them alone?' If your answer is 'yes', it means that you've had to cope with so much alone but you've not yet learned that asking for support and help is STREGNTH. It is NOT 'control from others, it's others offering you something that you've never tried. It's fear that makes us avoid offers of help. We can try them and if they are crap, give it up. If we don't even try the offers, what is this saying? Good luck to you Repeat.
Love you Repeat! I have a lot of favorite interviewees- but Repeat is hands down my favorite. Also- he reminds me of the main Black dude on Walking Dead. The one who walks (and speaks softly) and carries a big stick. And I'm a woman, and high yella... so am received differently. Haha it’s crazy he just explained everything mark said about putting these homeless people in a home .. they won’t stay their because their freedom is going to be taken away from them and that’s the last thing they want ..
Much love, Repeat.
Wish I could've met you.
That Goodbye Sounds Different 🙏🏾 Some may see him choosing I see depression despair hopelessness repeat I hope you find your way
Just came across Repeat, what a beautiful soul...
This is The realest of real talk!! Keep ur head up brother!👊🏿👊🏿
I just wish he would look up when he speaks. 🤦🏽♀️ He reminds me of a calmer DMX for some reason.
Daphnee D, I dont think he looks up because of the shame he feels from his past. I know that was true for me.
@@reginaarnone4845 😣😭
This video should go viral for so many reasons.
I’m so sad to hear about Kelly. 💔😔
Repeat, idk if this is up your alley but I do know goodwill does let you volunteer without a background check. Goodwill will hire on those who show they want work. Volunteer work will be great for your resume. It's not much but it's a start. Hope you find your way to the right path.
@11:27 Repeat refers to himself as "taciturn" and I agree with his assessment. He is incredibly eloquent and articulate while also managing to give off an air of the proverbial laconic cowboy.
Beautifully said. I hope he is doing okay.
Amazing guy. Amazing storyteller. Wish you the best.
Repeat is trying to save people like he did when he was young trying to save his mother
i had just watched Kelly before this. That's so sad she died.
I’m pulling for this guy so so much
Psychologists ask a question of people who have been through trauma, the answer shows a lot (think hard about the answer!): Repeat, if you ever read this, try answering this one question: 'If there were wild bears in your area, threatening to hunt down everyone, would you go to deal with them alone?' If your answer is 'yes', it means that you've had to cope with so much alone but you've not yet learned that asking for support and help is STREGNTH. It is NOT 'control from others, it's others offering you something that you've never tried. It's fear that makes us avoid offers of help. We can try them and if they are crap, give it up. If we don't even try the offers, what is this saying? Good luck to you Repeat.
Love this guy, man I'm getting teary eyed..
Repeat thank you for your service sir. I wish you the sir.thank you for sharing your story
Great interview. Thank you, Repeat, for giving us a new insight into why some people choose homelessness. A reason I always suspected.
This guys segments have been pretty interesting.
I really hope he makes it out. He’s saved lives and seems like a good guy.
Although he wants to leave...he ain’t ready yet-he said-he ain’t signing in in no program....
right and he will need a program away from california that will work if he wants out.
Love you Repeat! I have a lot of favorite interviewees- but Repeat is hands down my favorite. Also- he reminds me of the main Black dude on Walking Dead. The one who walks (and speaks softly) and carries a big stick.
I too was a Black kid who loved etymology- and casually used words like etymology... but I also had the natural gift of code-switchin' effortlessly without tryin'. And I'm a woman, and high yella... so am received differently.
Edit: I wrote this before he talked about the baseball bat. *I put some of that no-slip sandpaper tape for stairs on my baseball bat- guess mine ain't a sport tool. I feel ya tho Repeat!
