With a Hypertherm 85, you should be able to set your pierce delay around one second on half inch steel... I'm glad you like the videos, I just don't have very much time to make more....
I have since moved up to a Langmuir Crossfire Pro with THC. I'm still using the same plasma though. And yes I would still recommend this setup. It lives in a pretty harsh environment and doesn't get much love and it has never let us down.

What are the measurements of the table? How long is it that can cut?
How many amps do you run to cut 1/2? 1/4?
I run 85 amps for 1/4" and 1/2". The only time I have dropped amperage instead of raising feed speed was on 18 gauge stainless...
