Nice bikes fun . I had a Suzuki TS250 1981 new we rode from Long Island NY to Quebec went on road and trails 1982. Best times . 70 mph down highway and ok off road . Never broke down once amazing reliably 2 stroke .
I own dt360&400,s and Suzuki ts 400’s great power band on both cycles. Back in 1976 in high school I purchased a new dt 400 the Kawasaki big horn I would out perform it in the dirt or street!
I was a Kawi mechanic back in the day. The first Bighorn I ever started up actually started running backwards. If I recall, this one (early 70's) had a standard carb on it. The bike was awesome. When it was running in the forward direction of course! lol
I owned a Yamaha 360 Enduro Single 2 Stroke for about 2 years when I was in High School, 1972-1973, I put a Low Expansion Chamber on it. Fun to ride on the Street.
Wow Kaplan that's almost like a brand new 1973 Kawasaki Enduro that's really cool I remember them days those were around when I was young I'm 66 years old now so you can imagine the dirt bikes that were around when I was young all sorts of dirt bikes
Beep beep 350 big horn 1973 Kawasaki Enduro I absolutely love true Kawasaki green good job guys on doing a beautiful job on that bike the wizard Kaplan Cycles number one God Bless America❤
What a worthy bike to pour the love in to! Great job everyone. Kawasaki was hot as fire back then.. I wish there was a way to smell the 2-stroke! She sounds amazing..
You can find another one in my garage 100% original from the chains on the shifter & rear brakes and has 2000 miles. Like your guys resto but mine is original original and for a purist as I am thats the way I like them. Great video
Wow, this sure brings back memories from 35yrs ago almost to the month..i was king of my neighborhood at the time with my '84 XR250 & the kid next door got a Bighorn like this and the hood really made him feel good that he was gonna blow me into the weeds, and the drag race was set for the next day..the way everyone built up that Bighorn i knew i better be on my game. The next day everyone gathered and frowned at me drive up for the big drag race challenge..we lined up, revved our machines, and we were off..or at least i was, absolutely NO challenge as my 2nd carb opened up & by time i was in 4rth he was way back there and it turned out i remained undoubted king of the hood until the other neighbor got an 87 TT 225, and whipped my XR in drag race, so i did the only thing left to do, got an '84 XR500, i was king again, lol.
You've had most of my old bikes on this channel. My Big Horn I got used in 1975, then I traded it for a new Yamaha 400 Enduro in 76, then I traded that for a New YZ 400 monoshock as soon as I could get one. They all threw rocks as big as your fist, and no one wanted to ride behind me. Most everybody else rode 250's at the time.
I also had three Yamahas too when I was a kid I had a lot of dirt bikes but the best one I had was the 3360 MX and the 500 Open class racer but they were like YC's back then really cool buddy I watch your channel now and then keep up the good work
The military aircraft in long term storage at Davis-Monthan AFB (AMARC) in Tuscon are filled with lightweight oil as part of the long term preservation process. Not a bad idea for motorcycles
Love that vintage 2 stroke enduro, particularly it's yellowish/greenish paintjob. It would be alot of fun to ride on trails. It's a shame because of what dirtbikes and enduros cost these days, that the bike manufacfurers don't pay as much attention to detail, when it comes to making their bikes, compared to what they did in the 70's, nor are the paintjobs as good as what they were in the 70's.
Yeah you're talking about Yamahas they were pretty popular back then and the Suzuki's RMS but things change over the years and then it may cause and a husqvarna's even a whole Dockers when I was a kid and then there was a few monarchs that were out people were riding them and I had a grieves 250 desert Challenger to back then and I gave it to my cousin he's still got it
And then later on when I grew up I started riding Harleys I built 267 sportsters and then I had an FXR 91 and now I got a Street Bob 2018 107.6 speed bike my 1076 speed Street Bob that's a real sweet ride I'm getting ready to get it out of the garage and put some fresh gas in it clean it up and go for a scoot
Dual purpose bikes were cool back then. 🇯🇵🏁
Rode one of these here in Australia when I was 15, the guy down the road bought it brand new and I think he still has it in the shed.
🇦🇺👍
The original Kawasaki green monster!

My dream bike when I was 14
Brings back memories of my 76 kt 250 (wish for them days back).
I remember 1973…was 17. I saw my first Bighorn on a trail ride. I was amazed.
I have one that was given to me by a good friend before he passed away from prostate cancer. Fun to ride and runs well! RIP Mt. Man

That sound on a sunny day brings back childhood memories. Good ones! Great thumbnail. Looks like an ad in a 70's mag. She's a beauty!
Two Stroke Powah!
A dime piece of Kawasaki history.😊
A lot of water under the bridge of wonderful motorcycles 🏍️.

I had one back the day. First bike that I ever owned. No to bad on the road, or dirt roads, sucked on any trails. But had a lot of fun on it !

Spring is here at last
I never liked how Kawasaki did their carbs on those Enduros, but that bike is nice.
Restored a 75 Bighorn a few years ago. Fun bike to ride except at night.
Lookin JACKED Ken!
Super cool bike, that would be sweet to cruise some nice bendy roads through the rain forest. Awesome.

Rotary induction as there’s no carb on the back of the cylinder, Sachs/Can-Am style.
awesome bike so clean.

I've never seen one but it's like a 350 ke with the way the carb is situated .I've seen k.e's but not in 350cc
I had a youth football coach in 73 that had one same color he rode it to football practice
im more impressed the clapped out rhino 450 is still kickin
I dont think we got any of those in New Zealand, but we got the 100cc version.
Remember when these were state-of-the-art.
Damn your old.
Yep, but still on the right side of the grass. Young enough that I get out on my Gen II VMax and Super Duke R every now and then .
