Africa Murphy here! I've got some after-song notes for you! sorry for the long novel you're about to read but..I've got a close relationship with korn and would love to give insight! thanks for checking out my suggestion! yeah, Jonathan has been though a lot--theres an album after this and it's their darkest so far. He lost his wife to a battle with addiction, and fresh after that happening, he went into the studio. (...check out that album if you're feeling brave..) that's how he deals with his pain. however, he has recently found someone, and she is lovely and amazingly supportive. as far as other support, his band is pretty on it as far as seeing that he's good. they stayed with him after his loss, made music that they knew would make him feel safe enough to put his feelings onto, and the lead guitarist mentioned that all they want to do is support him and make him feel okay. mentally, he is okay, and actually copes pretty well with his pain if that makes you guys feel better! his therapy is performing and talking about it, giving advice and giving to mental health causes. he is genuinely the sweetest guy, and just wants to let people know that telling people how you feel is not a weakness. and yeah, he's been though a whole lot--too much to write down--but performing and watching the other people in the audience support him and relate to him is what makes him happy. on that front, I am happy to report that it's definitely not a Layne situation. currently he's the happiest he's ever been. I would love a deep dive on this band, but good luck--they've got 13 studio albums and whole lot of bonus ones. this man writes music like crazy. so yes!! korn and AIC deep dives are definitely im order! they have so much to give. once again, thank you so much for checking this out, this band is quite special to me, and I love spreading that feeling to others! 🥰 much love.
Wow, so informative. This band has something special about them. The lyrics, the feel, and the talent they put into the music absolutely speaks for it self. Thank you so much for the information, suggestion, and support.
Jonathan Davis has gone through the most horrible pain and suffering that you wouldn't believe....sexually assaulted as a child, drug and alcohol addiction, severe depression and social anxiety, being a parent with a child dealing with type 2 diabetes and he's a widow. He has suffered things that would've DESTROYED MOST PEOPLE!!! He's not just an insane talent...he IS a living inspiration and one of the kindest and most humble human beings I've ever met. LONG LIVE KORN!!!!!!
I'm all here for a deer dive into KoRn. The album after this one is even heavier. He lost his wife due to substance abuse. You can hear and feel his pain. Check out these two new songs, Cold You'll Never Find Me
Yes. John Davis has been through some tragic stuff in his life. You remember the song Daddy right? Just the tip of the iceberg man. He puts all his emotions on the track and us Korn fans love him for it. If you deep dive them, start with the self-titled album for sure.
KoЯn was the soundtrack of my teenage years lol. Y'all should definitely check out their older albums like Issues and Follow The Leader; some amazing songs on those two albums.....
I wanna say kanyons finisher was a modified diamond cutter from a fireman’s carry. I think he had a few different finishers depending on the character he was playing at the time. I know For sure he was very innovative. He created a ton of signature moves.
You wanna do a deep dive on Korn? Like how y’all got Tool Tuesday? Bro please start with the very first Korn album and listen to it all the way through. I heard it in ‘98. I was 12 years old. And it literally changed my life.
Youre 100% right. He gets it all out in his lyrics and then he can close that chapter of his life and put it behind him or it kills him inside. Twist is an amazing beat box or his version of a song
To be honest....Korn is one of those bands I often forget about but every time I come back to them I remember how F'ing good they are. Solid as hell....never disappoints!
Love the idea of you guys jumping into some more korn!! I’d love to see you guys check out Ball Tongue, Earache my Eye. Also I still recommend Slither by Velvet Revolver!!
Got to check out their debut self titled album. Not sure how many people actually request songs from that album but it's their best one from their entire catalogue. Please do your ears a favor and get to this album....
Exploring the depth of Korn is a worthwhile venture. definitely have to check out their song 'All in the Family' feat Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. you won't regret it! keep on rockin' in the free world! Devildriver - The Mountain Unearth - Endless
Korn...OPEN UP.....is a said song in a way abt someone overdosing.....its older....but it always reminded me of a troubled friend....she died 3 weeks ago from an OD
Thanks for reacting to Korn. I’m a huge Korn fan. Here are some greats for your Korn deep dive: • Here to Stay • Got the Life • Freak on a Leash • Blind • Right Now
I wish you guys would do some of the older Korn stuff, when the original five members were all there creating some of the greatest music of all time. Good God, Swallow, Lies, Ass Itch, Divine(!)... =) Jonathan Davis (the lead singer) was just an animal before he took singing lessons and kinda made the band formulaic...
MORE KORN, BOYS! New, old, dont matter. Just. More. Korn. Idiosyncrosy and The Darkness is Revealing from their most recent album The Nothing, are awesome!
I knew before watching this that it was a Patreon recommendation lol Regardless, Korn still puts out quality material. I would support a deep dive into them for sure.
I know that I am 96% Blind, But I know that is famous actor Tommy Flanagan, also known as the "Glasgow Smile" in this video!! Nice touch... I love him!!
But if you’re not ready for that, some songs I’d suggest to check out would be Divine, Helmet In The Bush, Twist/Chi, Nowhere To Hide, It’s On, Pretty, Trash, Make Me Bad, Alone I Break, & Here To Stay
Untouchables is 10000% their best album. Their new album The Nothing is incredible too. Here to stay, thoughtless, blame, and hating are truly the best in that album.
You should check out Chaoseum "Smail Again" it is a nod to Korn sounds very much like Korn. Their other stuff is good as well but that particular song had me looking up the band to make sure none of the members were from Korn.
With this album, Serenity of Suffering (2016), I remember going like: 'yes!!!! Korn is back!!!'.. On a full bus..lol.. Lots of people looking at me freaking out over this album! lol
🦋 Awesome Guys! Some Monday morning KORN Muisic.🎶🙌🎶 Coming Undone & Twisted Transistor Is 2 Of My Favorite's! Future Reactions I will be looking forward to.😉 Jonathan Davis Recently lost his wife. So Yes I'd say he has been through some stuff.
Did you know they came up with the name KoRn after Jonathan Davis was joking around and acting like a hillbilly and kept shouting out "corn!". Then they decided to spell it wrong to prove that you could be successful with a dumb name. KoRn and Slipknot are my top favorite bands.
They never stray too far from what they’ve always done, I didn’t mind this song. Really digging the new Beartooth album at the moment….check out Dominate 🤘
Mortus finisher was kinda like fireman carry, falling back off the bottom rope. flatliner I think it was called. More KORN!!!! Do one of their movie soundtrack singles.
Korn=my first nu-metal love 🖤 guys need to dive deep into the first 2 albums. Please do "Clown" soon. And the "Wicked" cover ft. Chino Moreno. Watch the biography "Who Then Now". That will tell you a lot. 🤘❤
This was their comeback song after Head had left Korn in his quest to find God and pursue religion, 10 years later he comes back and basically says that his pursuit of religion destroyed his career and life and had totally gave it up. During his absence Korn really went through a few weird phass with style, they collabed with Skillex and went hardcore mainstream in my opinion. When Head came back, they got that chaunky sound back, and you hear the results! Love ya'll!
Have you guys already tried Somebody/Someone, Got the Life, Here to Stay, Make me Bad, Ball Tongue or Alone I Break? there are many ones on Life is Peachy and Follow the Leader as well to choose, Smokey compared them as big as Metallica and they are close to become that important is rock and metal music.
If you guys are into Korn you should check out a couple bands called Tetrarch and Tallah if you dig the nu metal sound. I recommend “Addicted” or “Freak” by Tetrarch and the songs “L.E.D” or “Overconfidence” by Tallah. I think these bands are right up you fellas alleys
'He does this??' lol... That's what he's so known for! lol.. Seriously! Check out Twist! Also Freak on A Leash... 'Insane' from this album is awesome as well... The man went through hell and back I feel, it made him who he is now
You should check out these three bands. Pretty new nu metal bands that are amazing. I Prevail - Breaking Down Tetrarch - You Never Listen Chaoseum - Into My Split
Stay away from the main-stream Korn... Life is Peachy is there 2nd album, awesome! check out 'Twist' on that album... And yes, 'daddy' was heartbreaking.. He was abused as a child, so he can really deliver
Good one guys! Please do more CheVelle. They have 9 albums, so there’s is way more material to cover. I’m also begging for you to please check out Queens of the Stone Age. I have suggestions on Patreon. It’s my birthday on Friday, so a reaction to either one of those would be a lovely gift. 😄

So glad to hear JD is doing well, ever since The Nothing dropped I've been worried sick about him. Thanks for sharing info!
Jonathan Davis has gone through the most horrible pain and suffering that you wouldn't believe....sexually assaulted as a child, drug and alcohol addiction, severe depression and social anxiety, being a parent with a child dealing with type 2 diabetes and he's a widow. Children of Bodom- "Oops!… I Did It Again"
Yep, they covered this one too. A couple good Live versions and a Studio.
Gotcha covered my friend
KoЯn was the soundtrack of my teenage years lol. Y'all should definitely check out their older albums like Issues and Follow The Leader; some amazing songs on those two albums.....
You guys will love the video for Twisted Transistor, it's got Snoop, Lil Jon, Xzibit, and David Banner playing the members of KoRn 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥
I know Smokey has seen that one... maybe not Hollywood though 😊
@@mikemikori I ain’t doing no video, man! My music is my expression 😆
We're all different types of meat covered in the same sauce
yes!
Indeed. Korn hits different Thanks for checking this great band out.
I wanna say kanyons finisher was a modified diamond cutter from a fireman’s carry. I think he had a few different finishers depending on the character he was playing at the time. I know For sure he was very innovative. He created a ton of signature moves.
Deep dive on KoRn? Yes I agree 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥
I just love seeing these dudes vibe out and groove together honestly
I’m all for a deep dive into Korn! They’re one of the heavy weights from the 90s and have always done a good job of adapting & innovating their music
Many of my friends who like hip-hop also like bands like Korn and Tool to name a couple. And Fieldy with his bass. That man can jam.
Every closing korn track is a morbid rollercoaster of dark feelings
You gotta do Insane from this album. And my personal favorite from this album When You're Not There. Thanks guys!
You wanna do a deep dive on Korn? Like how y’all got Tool Tuesday? Bro please start with the very first Korn album and listen to it all the way through. I heard it in ‘98. I was 12 years old. And it literally changed my life.
I personally think “Issues” and “Untouchables” is their best albums. You should do some tracks from them.
Great albums, but in My opinion Follow the Leader is their best
Hated untouchables at first, now my favorite korn album.
My favs is Issues, serenity of suffering, and follow the leader
Ya issues was epic
Idk why but i always find myself listening to self titled
Rappers react: ' I could see you moshing to this'.....Me: 'Yeah, wait for it!' Lmfao
Youre 100% right. He gets it all out in his lyrics and then he can close that chapter of his life and put it behind him or it kills him inside. Twist is an amazing beat box or his version of a song
I believe Kanyon's finisher was the Flatliner. "Who Betta Than Kanyon?"
it makes you forget about what's going on and just jam out, you relate to the lyrics and just make it your own. its like someone else feels ya
To be honest....Korn is one of those bands I often forget about but every time I come back to them I remember how F'ing good they are. Solid as hell....never disappoints!
100% Support a deep dive. I'm here for all of it.
Korn actually recorded there more recent album here in Bakersfield California
This song is just perfection
Love the idea of you guys jumping into some more korn!! I’d love to see you guys check out Ball Tongue, Earache my Eye. Also I still recommend Slither by Velvet Revolver!!
They covered Earache My Eye? Haha love that song 😊
@@ShanLH5 they did it’s on follow the leader!!
@@bigman6672 nice I’ll have to check it out 😊👍🏽
Ear ache is a hidden track after My Gift to You. Think it's the last three minutes of that song.
Just listened to it… I like how he imitates Cheech singing the guitar riff in the beginning 😂

I know that I am 96% Blind, But I know that is famous actor Tommy Flanagan, also known as the "Glasgow Smile" in this video!! Nice touch... I love him!!
Definitely more recent Korn. I don't know too much Korn but seems like they've stuck to the same formula for a good couple of decades 😂
But if you’re not ready for that, some songs I’d suggest to check out would be Divine, Helmet In The Bush, Twist/Chi, Nowhere To Hide, It’s On, Pretty, Trash, Make Me Bad, Alone I Break, & Here To Stay
