He's no Cliff Burton or Les Claypool but he was decent. He put Mötley Crüe together. 3 bums and Tommy was a from a decent family. I'd say they did pretty damn good for where 3 of them came from. Good enough I seen them 2 times. I was at Market Square Arena when they filmed the Wild Side video. Most talented in the group was Mick by far. But... When I seen them Whitesnake opened for them and after John Sykes played his guitar solo Mick shouldn't have played one. Sykes solo blew Mick's away.
The bass solo was only so they could do that drinking bit. It’s a concert they wanted to keep it entertaining. They did literally the same thing at most of the concerts that tour. Nikki did well for the fact he’s hiding pretty well him fighting his heroine addiction. He also was the one who wanted to at least switch things up and do different but the band preferred to just keep doing the same line up. Can’t blame him 🤷🏻♀️ lol
