This is review of the iLife B5 Max, a very worthwhile ultra-budget robot vacuum with some pretty remarkable features. iLife sent this to me free in exchange for a review, but I will never be dishonest about my opinions of a product, even if it means that the company will cut ties with me.
Am I right that the ILIFE B5 Max is a robot for hard floors mostly? Thanks for the review, as always love hearing your voice 😊
You're just teasing me! But...don't stop. :) And yes, you are totally right, it's for hard floors only. If you're curious to see what it would do on carpet (spoiler: not much!) you can watch my second Narwal T10 video, the one with the mopping and vacuum tests. It does pick up some stuff, but it also leaves a LOT of stuff behind. I think something like this could work on carpet if it had like x10 the suction. Maybe.
@@MrRoombato Hm hm thought so. But again, for a small place with no carpets, the robot is good if you are not looking for something $200+
@@SmartRobotReviews Yes, exactly. It might even be better than a $200+ dollar robot in those circumstances. The internal bag means you don't have to empty the bin often or at all, and no main brush means no hair tangles. And it is a mapping/navigating robot, even if not in the conventional sense, so it cleans effectively.
Hello. Is it okay to just plug in the dock everyday and have the robot be docked all the time?
Yes, that's how it's meant to be used.
@@MrRoombato won't it damage the robot's battery in the long run?
@@itchyjhin7349 Of course it will. Just like the battery on your phone. But so will using it. You can replace the battery if and when the capacity noticeably decreases. The only way you can not "damage" the battery on your robot is to charge it to about 80% capacity and never use it.
