    Great news on the solar system at exsiting gym its allways surprised me that more holiday destinations i go to dont invest in the same manner .But they allways say its to expensive outlays. As for your new build it will actuly cost you more retro fitting a solar system after buildings are finished its just the way it works out speaking from experience in building trade for many years and a qualified solar instaler

      I've had the same experience, and many locals who ask me about it are equally excited when they hear how much can be saved and how much their electricity bills can be reduced. Of course, it requires some upfront financing, but it pays off in the long run. However, many people prefer not to invest or would rather buy a new car, which depreciates by 20% each year. :-) For the new Punch it Gym facility, we will install everything in such a way that only the devices need to be added later. The roof and the power supply will already be designed for a solar system. But here we are looking at a 400-500 kW off Grid system, which is also a significant investment in Thailand.

    Very nice set-up.
    If it pays off in 4 years, fantastic :)
    If it takes 6 or 8 years....still fantastic :)
    Could even be quicker than 4 years if tariffs increase....everybody knows they won't decrease!!!!!
    Cheers from Chiang Mai.

      Due to Koh Samui's rapid growth, the island faces frequent power outages and is reaching its capacity for water and electricity, making these resources increasingly expensive as everything must be imported. To address these challenges and ensure future stability, we're building our new Muay Thai village to be independent from municipal water and electricity. This approach not only cuts costs but also safeguards us against potential overloads and failures in the island's infrastructure.

    Glückwunsch zur Investition 💪 danke für die Transparenz mit allen zahlen 😉 gibt es noch mehr solar auf der Insel oder eher ein Pionier Projekt? 😊

      Nowadays, more and more people are investing in solar energy. While it’s often expats and private households leading the charge, we’re seeing a significant rise in interest-which makes perfect sense given the weather conditions here on Koh Samui. Right now, we’re in the planning stages of integrating and building one of the largest solar installations yet for our new gym. This is going to be a game-changer, and you can be sure we’ll be creating an exciting update video to share all the details with you! The goal is to run a complete sport resort green.

    Shouldn't solar system also work in low light situations, like cloudy days ?

    • @PunchitUnboxed
      @PunchitUnboxed  8 дней назад +2

      In Koh Samui, solar systems are generally effective even on cloudy days, as they can still generate power, albeit at a reduced rate. While heavy rain might slightly decrease efficiency, the overall impact is minimal. Plus, Koh Samui experiences fewer rainy hours compared to many places in Europe, making it quite suitable for solar power throughout the year.
