I really like my RX 6700, it's quiet (Merc 319) and powerful. According to your tests, I still can't believe I don't lose performance because of an old 1151 socket (9980HK, B250M, 2400 MHz RAM)
You make good benchmarks. I’m deciding on whether or not to get the 6700xt or the 4060ti. Both are separated by £60 but I love RDR2 and I want my upgrade from a 1660 super to *feel* like an upgrade. I also like MW2 though which is better on AMD. But also I’d like to try out experimental stuff like RT and DLSS but I’m worried it won’t be worth it, even if I’m curious. P.S didn’t you make this video already?
If you own a 6700XT under volt it, overclock it to 6750XT clocks, move the available power slider to 15%. You will gain 7%-10% more fps with same temps and power use. I got a Nitro+ used for $250 and with the 6750XT clocks it pulls further ahead of the $500 4060 ti. With FSR3 and frame generation, ray tracing fps are worlds better. Saving $250 and beating the newest mainstream from Nvidia, best GPU deal I ever made.
You know I would've gone with AMD for my budget, but I kept having issues with the mouse cursor and text input (AMD's drivers are probably the issue). I've tried an RX 6650 XT, RX 7600 and even an RX 7600 XT, on multiple systems including multiple cables, multiple drivers on ALL CARDS.
Well 4060 is 115 watt and 4060 ti 160 watt power consumption, while 6700 xt 230 watt. For long term power consumtion 4060 is the winner. You might think 6700 xt surpassed them but if you are looking for power efficient (save money electricity expense) then it's not the best choice.
@@efr89 why not? I like 6700 xt for performance and tweaking. 4000 series for less power and features is also great. Now if you have less money 6700 xt is good choice
Under volt or use the efficiency BIOS, 6700XT is dual BIOS. Mine hardly ever breaks 200W and I have it OC to 6750XT speeds with under volt. Besides, it would take years of heavy all out use to show a meaniful difference in power cost to match a price difference near $200 less.

Undoubtedly, Amd cards are really good when it comes to price to performance, but only because of driver issue I am planning to switch nvidia, I already gone through too much windows crush blue screen etc.
Ryzen 5 5600G is an APU with integrated graphics but is also weaker than the Ryzen 5 5600X since it has less cache so it won't perform as good as it. Ryzen 5 5600X is preferable to it but you can get Ryzen 5 5600 which has similar performance to 5600x while using less power and possibly lower temps.
the 5600G is much less powerful than the 5600X which is why it's a lot cheaper. I recently upgraded to a 5600 (non x) and I've been very pleased with it
What's nice too is you can undervolt the 6700xt get better performance and match the 4060ti in power consumption. BUT I know you can do the same with the 4060ti it's just impressive the 6700xt can drop 40-50 watts or more. It's simple and safe to do.
i have the Sapphire nitro+ RX6700xt and i can confirm that after undervolt I can use between 120w to 135w with same or better performance in game and less heat=less noise
nvidia is truly efficient with vram. but i wonder if you can get similar performance if you lower powerconsumption of rx6700xt to 4060 level which cost the same. i will also need to upgrade my psu (850W) and 6700xt+psu combo will be around 500€ which is still cheaper than a 4060 ti 16GB which isn't going to be faster than the 8GB version in most cases. nvidia is done for me, and my hopes for a decent rx7700xt are also quite low. amd has no reason to be competitive big thx for the benchmarks incl. powerdraw👍
I run my 6700XT at 6750 speed overclocked on a 600W PSU never had a problem. I under volt all my GPUs, as everyone should, and get more performance and far less power use. My total system power use is around 330W max with a somewhat higher power useCPU. Nvidia does not give enough VRAM with 8GB, thats not enough for several new games and it will only get worse.
Thanks mate, i will now waste $400 on a card that's gonna be useless on newer games within 2 years because it lacks VRAM and neither DLSS 3 or FG is gonna save me from that issue. I will also realize how bad the 1440p perfomance is gonna be due to bus width that Nvidia degraded from 192 to 128 bit. Amazing.
Not really though is it? Majority of the games the rx 6700xt performed better and even with the 4060ti at 1440p some games had 2fps difference than 6700xt but it had way better 1% lows than the 4060ti
