Fun reaction though as I was never going to revisit this timeline alone. If you want something more ultra-stylized and a good whodunnit, may I suggest *Deep Red (1975)* or *Suspiria (1977)* . Giallo films have been name-dropped in Scream 4 and Scream 6 so I think it's time to get acquainted! Also, we've been hanging out in modern horror for a while but there are still some classics left to discover. Have you seen Psycho (1960), Rosemary's Baby (1968), The Shining (1980), An American Werewolf in London (1981), Fright Night (1985), Hellraiser (1987), They Live (1988) etc...? And not to pile on too many requests, I know you're struggling with the Friday the 13th series but I wouldn't be opposed to skipping some to get to Jason X and Freddy vs Jason.
I would LOVE to see Alanda’s reaction to Rosemary’s Baby; it’s such a masterpiece. Psycho would be amazing too; so many crazy twists and turns in that one.
After editing for days, I can honestly say that these are my exact feelings on this film. Word for word - heavy on the not being able to get attached to Laurie! With the exception of Deep Red (which I’ll look into) all these movies are on my list! Hopefully I can push some up in the schedule soon!! I think I’ll have a poll to decide what to do with the Friday series. Thank you so much too 💛💛

I second Oculus! I think it would be perfect,it's not hugely gross/gory/graphic but it's more about the atmosphere and psychological aspects. Mike Flanagan usually makes something fun 💛💙💛
I despise the Rob Zombie Halloween reboots, but I LOVE your commentary. The reason why I think this version is so off-putting is because slasher movies should have a sense of fun to them, but in this one the violence feels exploitative and mean-spirited.
Yes! You summed it up in a way that I probably couldn't. Especially with the one cut that involved sexual assault, it felt like it was put in as some weird fantasy of Rob Zombie, it wasn't integral to the plot at all
@@tyrekelockhart5276im sure he would have made better first movie but his second film he admitted he didnt want to make at all, but its funny because the unrated cut of halloween 2 is miles better than this first one, theatrical or uncut.
There is a bleakness to Rob Zombie movies that make them very hard for me to sit through. He anchors them with characters that tend to feel real to me, which brings it to another level of disturbing. There are books, like Night, Ive only been able to read because i was on a sunny beach somewhere. His movies are the same. Make sure youre in a good head space for these.
I love seeing Brad Dourif in the flesh! Like the Chucky voice always delivers but we forget the man was nominated for an oscar for Cuckoos Nest! Lol it does my heart good to see him getting normal roles. And Danielle Harris! Loved seeing her.
Also if you can’t handle SA, which is totally fine I get it, I would avoid his firefly family trilogy (house of 1000 corpses, the devils rejects, and 3 from hell) just to give you that forewarning now :)
Ken Foree just came on screen and you reacted and that reminds me! You've yet to watch George Romero's original DAWN OF THE DEAD from 1978, my #1 favorite horror film of all-time and which Ken Foree is the lead and the zombie film that was the template for ALL zombie media that we have today. Even decades later, it still stands as a crowning achievement in unsettling, fun, artful, smart, thoughtful horror and it's satirical point about consumer culture is more relevant than ever. The original DAWN is MY warm blanket. My comfort movie, despite its ULTRA gory violence (but you have seen worse gut munching on THE WALKING DEAD, where your channel got its start). When THE WALKING DEAD was still just a comic and and Robert Kirkman was discussing its origins, he confessed that basically he wanted to make a version of DAWN OF THE DEAD that never ended. That just went on and on and on. And I think if you watch it (the Extended Cannes Cut is the best version, the one that runs 139 minutes), you'll want the same thing as well. (I think the remake sucks. It's a commercialized, watered down, empty, vapid, big and dumb copy of the brilliant original by a director I find insufferable losing all the depth of what Romero, a hippie humanist, had to say).
After these bleak, bleak movies, I would love to see a reaction to Hatching! A very underrated foreign horror flick, with some incredible animatronic effects
Yeah Alanda, the bully from the beginning that was in fact the little brother from Spy Kids lol. And also, the actress who played Judith (Michael's sister) in beginning that was little Jenny from Forest Gump. I was excited when this first came out I even won tickets to see it a day early, I actually really enjoyed this remake. I thought Zombie did a solid job despite the writing and the reason for the way Michael became evil. I also enjoy the creativity Zombie did with this as well pretty cool also that he got a blessing from John Carpenter (Director of the 1978 film) it's still a rewatchable movie to this day wild that it's almost 20 years old. I have seen the Unrated Directors Cut to this I perfer the Theatrical version so im glad you did this one. Great reaction, hopefully you'll do the sequel Zombie did also. It's a wild ride. If you do then you've completed the franchise. 👌 for now... Lol.

Thank you so much too 💛💛
@@AlandaParker No rush of course! I rewatch your old videos all the time anyway.
Ti West has said Maxxxine is going to be in the style of a Giallo so it would be good to get one in before July even if you watch some on your own. Those two are good places to start x
I watched this movie when it first came out and I could not make it past Laurie's introduction with her use of the bagel. That "not my Laurie" was real! I couldn't with these remakes.
At least the bagel gesture was not in the theatrical version.
@@emanuelespinoza9325 SMH, none of it should've been made. Rob Zombie's shitting on John Carpenter was unnecessary. Plus, RZ made a film for people and himself, who can't think for themselves. RZ stating he wanted answers to EVERYTHING... basically ruining the idea of "the Boogeyman".
@@robertyeah2259 JC told RZ to make it his own. However, RZ did an interview that JC responded to that you're saying he's "bitching".
When you make the character a cliche and you find whatever reason to put your wife in the film, to get naked... I'd also say, it's pointless. IMO
The second movie after this is even weirder lol. It's basically a feature length Rob Zombie music video
The truck driver with the “press & fluff” 😩😂 took me out!
"It's not right, but it's okay." Not a Whitney reference Alanda. 🤣🤣🤣
He is strong because they fed Michael with protein shakes for 15 years
Your comments during this movie is the exact reason why I watched one and two of rob's version once. I know Michael is evil but this movie was sadistic and over the top for me
“Have you ever heard of candy?” 😂 literally how I feel every time I watch a film from Rob Zombie. They’re varying shades of good but there’s this similar stark undertone in all of them.
I think you might like Oculus- I don’t want to give too much away but I think you might appreciate the narrative structure.
Especially with the one cut that involved sexual assault, it felt like it was put in as some weird fantasy of Rob Zombie, it wasn't integral to the plot at all
Youre thinking of campy style slashers
Can we talk about the school bully being one half of the Spy Kids???
I’ve been looking forward to this for the longest time. I knew you would get to it eventually and I waited patiently. Your videos are the best ❤😁
Rob zombie did a video on how they treated him while doing the script he didn’t like either one
@@tyrekelockhart5276im sure he would have made better first movie but his second film he admitted he didnt want to make at all, but its funny because the unrated cut of halloween 2 is miles better than this first one, theatrical or uncut.
LMFAO SHE SAID THE MARBLING OF THAT MEAT
😂😂😂😂😂
Please I can’t believe it myself 😭🤧
Brad Dourif was great in Deadwood as well.
See him in Exorcist III. He has a monologue that’s Oscar worthy
@@waffleweave I love him in Exorcist 3. Exorcist 3 is so underrated and underappreciated
The first five minutes of you reacting to the chaos of the opening scene is GOLD! I was cackling and shocked with you 😂
Alanda Quote of the Week: "Tell Cersei it was me, I want her to know."
i knew you weren’t going to like this version 🤣 but fun fact! Brad Douriff who portrays Chucky and his voice is the sheriff in this film! ❤️
The guy playing Michael Myers in this is the guy who played Sabertooth in the original X-Men movies from the early 2000s
Me: I never needed to know why Michael was evil.
Rob Zombie: 5:22
NEW ALANDA IS MY REWARD FOR A SLEEPLESS NIGHT, AW HELL YEAH. Also: you're our final girl. You got this apocalypse by the short and curlies.
After these bleak, bleak movies, I would love to see a reaction to Hatching! A very underrated foreign horror flick, with some incredible animatronic effects
The mum in that was very entertaining
Lol.
If you reacted like this i can't imagine how would you react to it's sequel
Yeeeeeeah, this movie…. It….. well, it exists. It shouldn’t, but it does.
This movie is awesome, it doesnt live up to the original 1978 but that would be hard to do since the original is a masterpiece. Rob zombies backstory to why michael turned into a killer is what kinds ruined it for me though. I wish they left it more of a mystery
I swear I remember this movie differently. I don't remember it being basically half the movie before meeting the new Laurie. I thought she was there from the start
the engine revving outside your window during that brutal slaying. shook! 🤣
13:48 SCREAMED. Not Alanda being a Game of Thrones girly.
35:06 The way we both jumped. Are you kidding me?! I was not prepared.
"Working up a sweat for two customers" 😭😭😭
“Robert, have you ever heard of candy…have you ever smelled a flower?” My thoughts exactly 😂
*NOT MY LAURIE* 😂😂😂😂
A terrible Sunday turned awesome cause you uploaded this video. Thank you Alanda!
I hope today gets better for you!
I honestly didn't even realize this was a new video, I was just choosing an Alanda video for comfort. But I'm excited to see what's new!
🥰🥰🥰
9:01 Its butterfingers from spy kids lol 🫶🏼
I've never been a huge fan of these remakes tbh. But just like Halloween 6, there are two versions of these movies.
Also, in the directors cut, Michael killed the nurse because she said something about him wearing masks or something like that.
“Mr. Joseph Bear, it did not go well.” 🤣
Poor Annie 😔😔😔 that girl doesn't deserve this!!! 😔😔😭😭😭
Ooh, Girl. I thought you were gonna wait til October. We here now, though, so let me get to watching lol...
You should watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning next!
Finally… Been waiting for you!! Love your energy.
This is definitely a 1 and done type deal… that kid deletion was deeeeeeep 🙈
I was so excited for u to see Danielle!😭
Queen I’ve been waiting for this 1!!! ❤
Our queen blessing us on this Sunday when we need her most! 😁💙🙏🏽
You're making my morning with this, Alanda and it was crappy til now so thanks for that. Always put a smile on my face and make me laugh. Thanks girl. You're the best ;-).
GURL I WAS WAITING FOR THIS 😭😭😭Thank you sm!!
Sherri moon zombie , House of 1000 Corpse ,3three etc.
I nearly jumped for joy seeing this upload hahah. Watching reactions with you is truly like watching them with a friend.
I'm so glad you clocked Carmen's lil brother Juni lmao. Was quite a shock for me seeing this movie for the first time and I noticed him with such a foul mouth.
I apparently must've watched the unrated version the first time and after seeing this one with you I'm like "that one scene just did not need to be included.
I'm so glad you watched this though. I could not stop laughing at your reaction to the opening breakfast scene. Like not even 2 mins in and there's such unnecessary foul language being thrown around.
Baaaaabe watching my faaaave! This movie is so terribly good 😂. My fave kind of horror portrayals and I'm grateful you sat thru it ❤
Haven't finished the video yet so you might have already come to find this out but the actress playing Laurie also played the babysitter who lets Ali Larder snatch Idris and Beyoncé's baby in Obsessed!!
Yay!! Been waiting to see your reaction to this one. It has its issues but I can appreciate more of the movie after the time skip. Also, got to meet Tyler Mane- the actor for Michael Myers- a few years back and he is HUGE!! The thought of him coming at you is UNIMAGINABLE 😂😂
yess love your vids, glad i caught an early one in time for my morning cereal
So happy to see you’re reacting to this movie! Pls take care of yourself. And I can’t wait to see what you react to next!
the family in the beginning is unhinged as hell 😖
The Bring It On suggestion at the end 😭
Yes! I was waiting for you to react to this one 😂😂 You always have the best reactions! ❤❤
I’ve noticed this with a lot of horror reaction channels the past two weeks… They have either had stuff going on and not posted or they are reacting to stuff that isn’t horror. Glad you’re back!
