I’m 43!🫶🏻 I have to split my upper body parts up by days because I wouldn’t have the energy to do multiple parts in one session. I try and lift heavy and go to failure for most sets, I’ll do arms, back, shoulders/chest on separate days. I do legs/glutes every 4 days.
Facts, I just turn 42, but look 32, lost 35 lbs and im currently doing 2 upper and 2 lower split also, and the 5th day i do a calisthenics/mobility workout, basically doing all the same movements very slow BW only, then stretch and do come core work. 😊
Unfortunately not everyone over 40 can achieve muscle mass. I lift heavy , eat well eat 160 grams of protein. Sleep is what kills my gains. Muscle weakness due to hypothyroid. Sleep apnea.. wish I can gain more muscle but it’s been pretty tuff. Going to my dr & talk to them about peptide injections. Hopefully that will help me. 😟
Right there with you since 2009 started officially my freshman year in college…. HIIT was the main types of workouts in the summer when I was not at school but I was heavily in the campus rec… Let’s just say now I am much more improved in my gym life and eating 🙏🏽💜

I'm curious how long that session took 😅 the volume on that workout was insane. Definitely would have to just crawl home and stay in bed for the next three days if I did all that.

How do you know what moves you should progressively overload in your workout. Or is it all exercises every time? Should you just pick one each week to increase in some way?

What does RPE stand for? When you describe it, it sounds like how "hard" you felt the exercise... Sooo I dont think its short for Reps Per Exercise? Am I the only one who cant find the box en the description on how to measure RPE?
Prefiero empezar con maquina y luego peso libre, luego maquina.En el primer ejercicio de abductores es mejor hacer menos peso,, pero con mayor concentración, inclinar el cuerpo al frente o por lo menos postura correcta, se sienta hasta el fondo, con la espalda completamente recta.
Entrenar solo máquinas no exige al cuerpo, por mucho peso que se cargue, peso libre involucra más músculos, una persona puede empujar un carro con ruedas, pero no si no las tiene
Did you not notice she’s wearing braces now? My former step mom was the test person for the clear tray kind but they still change the way you move your face.
@@schoolingdiana9086 I can see the clear tray (didn’t notice any metal) on her teeth but that hasn’t changed her face shape or lips size. Watching back old videos of hers (3 years ago) for techniques in gym after an injury and oh my she has definitely tweaked her face. It’s a shame. My natural pretty cousin has had chin implant Botox in nose(!) Fillers in upper cheeks and Botox forehead like it is a normal thing to do. She looks like cartoon version of her natural pretty self. Upsets me to be honest. Poor role models in my opinion.
