My Acura dealer mechanic did that on my MDX while changing the transmission fluid. He wasn’t expecting me to crawl under and look before I paid the bill. I got a loaner while they ordered and replaced the damaged panel.

      Because it's his property?
The manufacturer cared enough to put it there, the customer cared enough to get it serviced, any tech worth their salt should care enough to do it correctly.

The cover reduces road noise and it’s part of the vehicle.
If I left a hole in your house while doing electrical work you’d have a field day in court when you found out about it.
      Think about it.

why don't you just learn to work on your own vehicle? It's not that hard, especially if you really care about a damn plastic splash guard, which you literally don't need lol

It is some hack shit but it’s still nice when the guy before you did that shit, probably took dude longer to cut those holes than it took to take it off lol

Should sue the vehicle manufacturer for designing something so stupid, places should charge an up charge for dealing with that garbage, I would

Either charge more for the oil change or don’t do it but to destroy someone else’s car because you’re too lazy to do it the right way is messed up and it will catch up to you people will want their cars fixed if they see you damaged them and you’ll end up losing a lot of business when people see how you treat their vehicle and car makers are they really just morons? Who puts a full cover with no access to the things you need to perform basic maintenance??
