- DIY Car Dent Repair 👍
In this video, I demonstrate a DIY car dent repair using a dent repair kit I purchased off eBay. Watch as I tackle three different dents on my car's bodywork for the first time. With a bit of perseverance and the right tools, I manage to start to see an improvement. If you're considering a DIY approach to dent repair, this kit gets a thumbs up from me!

All IT is prectice and patience and understanding
Definitely, the dent kit will not get it absolutely perfect like a professional PDR would, but it’s an old workhorse everyday driver Mondeo that hauls everything from dogs to tip rubbish, a £30 spend to get the dents to barely visible was worth it to me.
Great video, thanks. The tools you bought are cheap enough to give it a go. The dents look a bit better for your efforts, so well done you. I'll give it a go on the wife's car. And you're right, it could cost you quite a lot to take it to a repair shop. I've done loads of repairs on my home, garden and car myself, and probably saved thousands over the years. I'd sooner spend a few bob on a specialist tool for a job that I can do myself, rather than have to pay an hourly rate for someone to do it for me. For those of you out there who are thinking of becoming a DIYer, then start small. Buy a basic tool kit, do small jobs to gain confidence. And if you're taking something apart, film or photograph it so that you'll know how to put it back together. Good luck and stay safe.
Good advice and all the best. I’m going to give it another go with the other stronger glue stick and see what happens. I’ll do a short video and see if I can get them even better! Thanks for watching 👀
@@kape9004 Totally agree 👍
Me advice would be to take the head light out and your Will be able to get the dent from behind
Thanks for your advice and thanks for watching 👀
I've used the bronze one. Persistence is key, keep trying and each time the dent will lessen. It's not a one shot device. I got really good results on my black Santa Fe.
I agree. Thanks for watching 👀
Oh my days. I had to watch the slide hammer technique several times as I was in disbelief what I was seeing
It was my first go! Never done it before! Thanks for watching though 👀
i ....... got a pro in brilliant ! slide hammer mens banging the other end not the end wwith spring on!
I was thinking that to 😅
Thanks for watching 👀
Great video 🙂
.
I've enjoyed watching videos like yours from the USA ......... they heat the metal to soften it
(i think)....... but the kit should have a "wedge" shaped plastic tool to glue on ?????
.
They also have a "centre punch made of plastic".......... to soften the metal before pulling .
.
But ???? ............... You did a great job anyway mate 🙂
Thanks for watching 👀
@@rustyrestos No problem ... they sometimes "overpull" and tap them back in with small plastic thing with a pointed tip as they stare into a screen of black squares 🙂
😅Who the hell has shown him to do it like that ?
its not working because you are using both tools completely wrong......
Yes probably… but it has worked after many attempts (since this video was made). Thanks for watching 👀
I don't know why I'm watching this probably hanging on to see if you mastered the slide hammer.
Thanks for watching 👀 it was my first attempt. 😂
Your glue gun is not hot enough, your using the lifter all wrong , you should warm area first with hot air gun to soften paint and you should tap down the crown around tye dent first. Some good vids on here , suggest you have a look or get a pdr man bef9re you cause more damage.
Thanks for watching 👀 while I agree with heating the area up first as I mentioned in the video myself, the glue gun was hot and melting the glue. It’s an old car I like to tinker with. I have now got all the dents out after many attempts! 😂
Im sorry, but you were doing extra work cause you were doing it all wrong.
I know, I got there in the end and learnt something new. It creates a reaction via the comments which is good for the video 😂Thanks for watching and commenting 👀
Doing it all wrong
It was my first time ever of having a go! To be honest I have since improved and removed the dents so I must of done something right! Thanks for watching 👀
Dude you have to pull and not push. What a joke
Thanks for watching 👀 I did both, got the dents out in the end. So all good 😊 thanks 🙏
Useless.
I disagree, with further attempts it works!
