Awesome video, it is really useful to see all the different parts of the engine.
I had an oil leak and i hope it's fixed. The oil filter was rusty, especially at the base. I needed a razor blade to scrape that seating surface to clean it. After i did this, i noticed the bilge had some oil. I cleaned that up. Ran the ski in the ocean for an hour or two and just a little oil in the bilge. Maybe residue from before. I have a 2014 vx110

I'm really glad this video helped you! It definitely helps to see someone run a camera around the parts to gain the confidence that a person can do this themselves

Hello, I stumbled on your page and I'm enjoying your content. Any advice for yamaha vx110 2005 milky oil, (most likely self induced with water hose on while motor off) been flushing and more flushing oil. Any pointers?

Best suggestion I can give is visit the pwc repair forum at www.greenhulk.net and use the search feature. There is a ton of advice on this. Most say 5 oil changes. On the last oil change, also change the fter and then run the shit out of it on the water and the remaining slight milkiness will vaporize and the oil will be clean again.

Can you please upload a full video on how to remove the oil pump? Can’t remove mines.

I have 2006 yamaha FX HO. I had a ton of oil in the bilge and I think this video will help me. Do I need to drain the oil out before I pull that oil pump manifold assembly that you have here in the video?

You probably cannot remove the oil reservoir without removing the cylidner head off of the motor due to the configuration of the strap support that attaches this to the cylinder head being in the way. I believe you will have to pull the entire motor out to get this out of your ski

Would you have a 06 fx140 for sale? Was told mine shot a rod. I didn't believe the shop as they pushed to buy the ski it has 46hrs on it DC area

@tonyyoung6738 I do. my longblock is a 2007 FX140...same motor. Shipping isn't gonna be cheap but mine comes with EVERYTHING to drop into your ski and is a 75 hour fresh water motor. The ski that it came out of was in San Antonio Texas and got hit by a palm tree that smashed the front of the Hull. Mine has the starter, stator and stator housing of course, oil reservoir, oil pump, PTO rear end gearing, of course the entire OEM head assembly still attached, exhaust manifold. Send me your email address if you want to talk price and shipping.

What type of sealant would you recommend reinstalling the oil pan?

Hmmm, just fuel resistant black etc works fine. Surface prep is HUGE! Make sure they are clean and use plenty of brake cleaner and clean shop towels prior to mating surfaces. I suppose motoseal is good too
