Beware Japan. My Boks were supposed to have won by 30. Don't forget Italy. I was in the stands that day and the Boks were clearly not ready for stern opposition. The Aussies have a new, effective coach and he's had months to plan for this one game. Their ranking is in no way attached to their actual performance on Saturday.
Please don't think I expect the Boks to lose, but I'm not convinced its going to be a blowout. I'll be very happy if it is a 20-point margin, but not surprised if is just seven.

My opinion, it will be a 5 point winning margin and the game can go either way. I think this panel (as they so often do), underestimating the opposition and in this case the Aussie players just because they're an unknown factor or they can't name them. Joe S. is one of the smartest operators in the game. He'll make good use with the cattle he has. And the conditions will favour the Aussies. Adapting to the referee is key. The Boks should have an advantage there. I'm leaning more and more towards the Aussie's. I think they will attack the Boks strength and catch them off guard.

Agreed, they're a much better team and better prepared now. In theory, the boks should win comfortably, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is the game the Aussies have targeted as a must win game. Not so much to try to win the Championship, but more as a stepping stone towards the end of year your, the Lions tour in24 and retaining the Bledisloe in 24/25. Use this game as a marker for further improvement.

The rules are being changed to counter the Bok tactics. The scrumhalf rule is designed to counter the rush defence… simple. The other example mentioned by Zels is the 30 seconds for 8 forwards and one for the flyhalf.

He was also supposed to be the new era Springbok loose foreword they even dropped andre venter and Gary Teichman because Bobby was that good. Yet we remember him as the boy with the tongue piercing Thats human nature we like something bright and new. The problem I have with this hype is that its not celebrated its weaponised and against Handre Pollard and everything he stands for and it has minimised everything he has achieved. Tony Brown started with comments about Handre, then Sacha put a kick over from the half way line and there goes South Africa. Its fucking wrong and its fucking treason. At some point it will start a divide in the camp as well. I feel for Sacha because there is this spotlight on him, he is enjoying it now wait till he has a challenge and all the turn coats do what they do well. While Im busy Jacques Nienaber is very missed, Rassies grounding point. The man who coloured in his pictures. They sang out of the same hymn book and balanced things out, Tony Brown is not South African. He has Rassies ear. Good luck to the boks on Saturday. But I dont enjoy what is going on, the division. It is i ln stark contrast to what has been built by this team.

You sound like a sour England supporter I’m right aren’t I 🤣. Fact is World Rugby can’t stand SA winning if you doubt me look at the law changes they make, all aimed at trying to neutralise SA strengths. Pathetic when you can’t beat a team in the spirit of the game and need to change the laws to try and do it. Yet still fail 😂😂😂😂😂. Count them 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆. Onto the business at hand SA can never take the Aussies lightly especially not in Aussie. Good luck boys.

@@DavidSmith-yi8ou Yup the Boks have traditionally liked a slower less frantic game for sure. These are interesting times as a Bok fan to see how they try and develop an expansive game and indeed if it works for us. I have very good English friends who absolutely hate the Boks and I think are annoyed they don't have the cups. Usually the rule is no politics and no religion. For the sake of our friendship we have added no rugby to that list :-) Lets hope the Boks get it right Saturday and that it's a good test. Shattered that there wasn't a third Irish Test (or relieved not quite sure which) it would have been a cracker.
