Well done on that magnificent achievement, definitely a 11 sec car! Try heating up the tyres more, they are semis which by default demands heat in them to stick better. Remember the 60ft is what makes or breaks your run!!! Regardless, well done brother as you have been putting in the effort and to them, goes the spoils.

I got a better 60ft than a friend with a LSD on the same tyres at the same event. I'm curious to see if I can get a 2.2x 60ft on these. It's worth trying more heat but I'll see what it does at MSA with a prepped 60ft.

@@lowdl I asked Niyaz from liberebel to feature your mk2, we will see, because if you keep going the way you have been that cars going to be the quickest golf around that side. Maybe think of getting an aftermarket lsd aka limited slip diff, it will make it better with your spinning on take off, and maybe go to a wider set or pair of rims with semis on the front wheels, i used to be part of the pitt crew many years back on classic saloons, for national races, based here in p.e. The above really helped with traction as you are losing time because of spinning, but much better improvement with the last race, well done to you Mr Lackay.
I like that the car is full trim and full interior. Not sure how long I'll keep that up for. I'll probably pull most of the interior out for MSA but for the street events, I'll run the car like this. It's an excuse I can use for when I lose 😂
It was awesome racing you, only a shame that it wasn't when you got to the 12s, then it might've gone differently. I hope I'll be able to race you again, but lose next time. That'll give me an excuse to make mine faster 😂
Congratulations on your 12s boss! Not sure if I'm gonna talk nonsense here so correct me if I'm wrong.... But I feel like if you had a longer ratio gearbox in it would give you more boost time and maybe less gearshifts
Thanks a lot 👌🏾 A longer gear ratio will give me more "boost time" but it will also mean that it will take longer to get into boost if I fall out of it. A longer gear ratio won't reduce my gearshifts. There is nothing long enough that will allow me to cross the line at nearly 200km/h in 3rd unless I go with some sort of automatic box like the V8 drag guys run with an overdrive. But you make a good point, I would like a longer 1st gear and a shorter 3rd gear. That would be great.
Great progress!!! However I’m sure you’ll be able to drop your time more if you don’t keep it in the limiter so long changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd
Thanks a lot. 🙌🏾 I'm not sure if you watched the video correctly, but the turbo falls out of boost if I shift too soon. I actually need to hit the limiter longer. You're not taking into account wheel spin. So wheel speed and vehicle speed isn't the same. For example, my wheels are spinning at 70km/h in 1st but the vehicle speed is actually only 40/50km/h, when I shift, i'm going into 2nd gear under speed.

The exit is the shocker. I had to turn it down slightly because of my plugs so its got some more exit in it. Hopefully I'll see 200 soon.

You should do a 12 valve VR6 turbo swap, and you'll run 10s and 11s
I'd like to do a VRT but running 11's and 10's is not that simple.
