The thing you are saying from 3:30 till 7:00 is exactly what I feel too everytime I switch between my Honda CB350 RS and Aprilia RS 457... Aprilia fits like a glove as you stated... What a bike.. perfect for those weekend fast rides on highways for that little bit of excitement...
Dear Bosskey, CK- waiting for this a for a while. A BIG thank you!! You have a middle aged person here riding a 2024 R3. CK said towards the end “a forgiving motor cycle “, that’s what these 457 and R3 are. They are god like motorcycles you can’t find much faults. Except for price I couldn’t find any fault in R3. That too it makes up in reliability and service. I use R3 for daily commute from JP Nagar to Hebbal.. completely comfortable with 169 kg and 42 bhp on tap. Absolutely no back aches because of the sitting posture and a fantastic suspension tuning. Yes I do mini saddling in those terrible patches. Have done some 4 hours touring with R3. Trust me absolutely zero back pain in Tarmac. I don’t do off roads. After 4 hours I will feel bit of discomfort in my meteor but nothing in R3. That’s when Bosskey I related to your sitting posture diagram 😂.. Now you guys are opening gates for these sports tourers. Eagerly waiting for comparisons, touring ability, luggage capacity, service etc. I am sure I can’t ask for pillion 😜..
I can relate to your points, I recently rode the 457 from Pune to Kanniyakumari to Rameshwaram and back to Pune, approx 3700 kms in 6 days. I found it to be comfortable and the engine is just fabulous.. on demand power surge ! Very smooth and very planted motorcycle.

That bike is one of the most welcoming sports bike. It does not feel overly aggressive but is one when you need it to be. I am not a fan of faired bikes but that bike feels really "friendly" i don't know why. Engine is Smooth, a bit on the louder side for my ears. The weight distribution seems on spot. I can only imagine how it might feel on the track...

I have a 390 adventure and a 457. I can relate to this feeling. Though i end up using 457 only for weekend fun , but it brings smile every time i ride. Don't know what, but something ison point with this.

In the last 3 months, I had taken test drives of all the 400cc bikes.. and RS 457 put the biggest smile on my face. Dedicated sports position is not for me but when Tuono comes, I will throw my money at that engine 🎉
I had the same dilemma whether I would get adjusted to the RS457 due to the sportier riding position after a decade of using the KTM 390 Duke and the RD350. Well glad to say I echo your thoughts and with a bit of understanding and getting used to, I'm enjoying riding the RS457. A Bangalore to Trivandrum via Munnar trip coming up on the RS457 this X'mas. I'm six_two. Aprilia has, somehow, created an ergonomic seating position that makes you feel at home, at one with the bike. I, personally, don't find this on any other sports bike. edit: apologies, meant to say, up to your usual excellent, and funny, standard. thank you.
Im planning to swap my gt to rs 457, is more sporty. But I love my gt 650 and i dont have enough space and money to own both. And delhi has only one service center for aprilia

Cause when I rode the Duke I was very impressed with how good that suspension was even on not great roads! Plus it's very adjustable! How does this compare?
A ha! Another sports bike fanboy! Im a few months shy of 60 and riding the Speed 400 for the last 14000 kms....and enjoying every km, though it isnt a proper sports bike but close. The Tuono 457 is on my radar, seems like a worthy upgrade? And yes, next time you try your hand at Italian, a certain granny in Lutyens Delhi is going to have you by your family jewels!🤣
does it feel significantly faster than the himalayan 450 ? is the suspension comfort close to it as well ? I have a himalayan and love it considering selling that and getting rs457, would it be a good "upgrade" per se ?

We are not familiar with the Benelli and hence unable to comment. The 310 has been around a while and due for a big update. Don’t know if that’ll happen but possible.

It is faster. The rest is not a comparison cos they are so different in design and purpose. Test ride to know more.
