fh2 looks crisp after all these years, just imagine how fascinating would it look if it was optimized for 9th gen.
I will never forget the beauty of FH2 map. Even just watching this video i got goosebumps. Hope FH once return to "riviera" themed map. Even with all the recent improvements in FH5 most FH2 sound samples remain the most accurate and iconic.
The fact fh2 is comparable to motorfest speaks to how great of a game fh2 was. Probably the least remembered forza horizon game but will always remain my favorite

FH2 is definitely the peak of the Horizon games. FH3 is on the okay side, FH4 is mediocre at best tbh but had a great dynamic map, FH5 is literally just a failure

Horizon 2 was made in times were some studios were still in a very good situation!
From there any game would never had the same chance and just get ruined by terrible leadership that just led to leave the company and found your own! (FH5)
@@damianramirez9788 yeah there’s that little window between xbox one launch and having all games on PC where some awesome games launched that sadly, never were ported to PC. And fh2 is part of that group unfortunately. Hopefully an emulator someday

I definitely think that the crew has more unique sound between its cars and beautiful turbo noises. and for a lot of cars the two game sound similar. horizon 2 has very quality sound files and feels more real in my opinion.

Horizon 2 - the standard of car's sounds

No it’s not it’s top 5 though Project Gotham Racing 4 and GRiD Autosport both beat FH2 for car sounds. Those are also in my top 5 but saying FH2 is the standard for car sounds says you haven’t played many racing games. Those two games specifically beat FH2 in car sounds those two games sound unbelievably realistic.
@@redhunnid5142 DiRT and GRiD are both done by Codemasters. Probably the best-sounding cars during that time. You could argue that they're still better than the current crop for car sounds. And I think some people that worked on PGR also worked on FH4. That might explain why they put a PGR2 stage on FH4 🙂

FH2 looks too good, but an FH1 remake is needed now... graphics are dated enough and they should give us a sick Forza Horizon 1 remake...

Ivory Tower went nuts with the sounds. They really compare with Forza.

Ivory Tower budget went on important aspects such as sounds and the cars selves... but not others like lightning system.
Forza Horizon 2 just had the best light of any modern racing game, like the headlights at midnight, the light from the houses, buildings, your fog lights, cockpit lights, traffic lights! The sunlight!
A next gen patch for consoles would make it just as good Motorfest! 10:00 Not other gamed looked that good!

Tbh i feel the sounds of the crew motorfest is more natural, sounds like a real car, but FH2 sounds more like a robot than the crew motorfest despite it has more accurate engine sounds, the mclaren p1 sound is orgasm.. the mclaren f1 too (for me the best mclaren f1 sound is in FH4), the ferraris are totally fascinating in both of them, the porsche carrera gt sound loved it more in the crew motorfest

im not being biased when i say this but motorfest clears tbh , such great sound design (clutch still needs to be toned down)
You hear more clutch when you are on manual on auto its perfect idk why

Horizon 2 still looks miles better and it was made in 2014 💀. Also in the motorfest it sounds like your ears are right next to the exhaust or the engine while in horizon 2 it just sounds like the cars have distance and depth away from you.

@@bonaboss6686 you can clearly see how natural the lighting looks. Just like in italy and france where the game is made. They nailed it. Crew on the other hand sometimes looks too bright , sometimes too purplish , bluish etc... Night Time is also much much brighter than in horizon 2. Horizon 2 just looks more natural. Also water reflections after it rains are just insane on the horizon 2. The whole dynamic weather was just insane on the horizon 2.

TC definitely. FH2 sounds good but it’s starting to audibly show its age, with heavy compression and less natural car sounds.

fh2 was a great game.. Great graphics and great sounds.. loved everything about it i was a big Forza fan till fh4 came out fh4 was really shitty in my opinion and fh5 was better but not good as fh2-3.. some sounds in fh5 are like you drive with a computer generated E sound

I played the 5hrs free of motorfest, didn't even use it all up. Was a bit disappointed with how game plays. Sounds are great for sure, but was hoping for something that would really challege horizon and this is just trying to be like it IMO.

12:43 having heard the R35 in real life, no other game has captured that somewhat muffled yet raw warble sound of the VR38 like FH2 has. I would say GT7 is the closest to capturing the tone, but again, we’re comparing a 2022 game to a 2014 game!

I’d say most sounds in the crew Motorfest are better. Horizon 2 graphics are better though. And I’m the ultimate forza fan boy so idk if my opinion matters lol.
