    SCHD's concern is the top 10 make up 40% of it's holdings (VOO/DGRO are around 27/25%), more so than only 100 stocks. At 40% you better love the top 10, and I do.

    • @GrandPrix46
      @GrandPrix46 Год назад +1

      I believe they review it quarterly and make changes to the holdings annually if they feel the need to (or something similar to that). So if those top 10 holdings aren't performing so well, they can be changed if needed. That's one of the reasons I plan to hold it indefinitely, I know people more knowledgeable than myself are managing things keeping it profitable.

      Thanks Anna! I have some JEPI in my portfolio, it's great for income. While it has a much higher yield than SCHD, I think that SCHD offers a better balance of income and share price appreciation. Plus, its strategy is more straight forward than JEPI's covered call strategy, which is something many investors might feel more comfortable with.

      @tacocruiser4238 Год назад

      @@rynewilliams A crowded trade is when a stock or ETF becomes popular among investors and large numbers of people rush in to buy it based on that popularity. This often leads to bubbles and irrational behavior. This may not be a big deal until things turn negative and everyone rushes to sell their shares. This can lead to violent downswings.
      I am not saying this ETF is bad. It actually looks pretty good to me. But the value proposition can become compromised if too many people buy it.
