That stuff mostly only works if the two franchises are licensed by the same company, like for example Mario and Zelda franchises are both made by Shigeru Miyamoto (more so Nintendo) so if there’s like a Zelda game in a Mario game being viewed as fiction then that would probably be valid, but if it’s two franchises owned by different companies (like for example Mario and Sonic) then that r>f argument wouldn’t work
