    Always love your work and run one of your themes since I switched to Linux in February. Still would love to see your take on a multi-monitor setup, although I don't know if you have a second display handy. Also we need to get you a mic stand!

    A few comments -
    I finally applied this theme last night. I could not get through the color section and it would be nice if you could update with more precise directions. I'd also like to see updates if you can figure out a fix for the border breaks on some app windows (I notice it does not affect terminal for instance so it is not on everything). I ended up using your script, which is nice but honestly even with a subscription I'd prefer clear steps since running a third party script you do not fully understand is a security risk (no offense, it's just poor practice) plus having complete steps lets me more easily add or subtract parts to make it my own.
    Another issue I ran into is that not all windows obey the theme. For instance Firefox & Librewolf (Flatpak versions) do not show the correct window controls in the upper right, while Chromium and Edge (also Flatpak versions) do. Vivaldi in either version also does not show the correct window controls. Unclear to me why some browsers do and some do not and where to find an override.
    I'd also like to find a compatible extension to override the clock and make it show a more complete time/date like what we had with Aylurs widgets but unfortunately they have retired thier extension and I cannot find another. I did add Weather O'Clock for a quick weather option in the top bar and it's fine.
    Overall it is quite nice but the guide needs more clarity and I'd deep dive a bit more on the problems especially for those of us who actually paid for it. Thanks for the hard work, it is appreciated and please don't take this as a complaint, just some feedback and suggestions. I think you do some of the nicest UI/UX work available, just a little more polish to the production would be helpful.

      Much appreciation for this review 🙌 Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this.
      Probably the first time someone commented on the scripts. I hope more people do this so that I can improve them. Will definitely try and make the changes you said. Thank you so much!

      @@ArcTechnologies A friend of mine helped me fix the issue with some browsers not obeying the theme. This is due to the browsers not having the native title bar enabled, simply switching it on will fix that. It has nothing to do with your script or design and is a common thing with modern browsers that do things like put the tabs or address bar in the space where a title bar traditionally sits.
      Nothing for you to work on on that point other than perhaps mention that if an app does not follow the theme in the title bar, check the app settings and if possible enable native title bar.

    Great content thanks. Why so many people don't like Ubuntu vs mint, is it because of the gnome? Pretty much every article is in favour of Mint. What is your opinion and why please? I installed both Ubuntu 24 and Mint 22 on the same mac book and the performance is identical for me.

      I changed the colors using a custom designed app. At that time, it didn't have the ability to grab screen colors or accept color code as text.

    I hope the coming Cosmic desktop will make the pressure on the Gnome dev team to make the customization be an easy step! Such a nightmare, having to copy/paste and to edit some CSS files is not normal. But the Gnome dev team does not want to make Gnome be customizable by default, so you have to hack it!

    • @ArcTechnologies
      @ArcTechnologies  10 месяцев назад

      Might be but I don't think so since GNOME is very much geared towards professional use.
      Anyway I'm hoping for the best.

      @@ArcTechnologies
      It's not because you can change the colors and add some borders around windows that your workspace is any less professional.
      Windows and Mac OS are professional DE and there is a lot more you can do when it comes to customization.
      Gnome team MUST integrate some custom tips.
      I wouldn't mind leaving this DE if Cosmic were more pleasant (pretty) to use.

    • @ArcTechnologies
      @ArcTechnologies  10 месяцев назад

      Yeah I know but trust me when I get KDE installed I always have this tendency to tinker around and change stuff a lot more since they are supported from the settings app itself.

    • @Adamy-69
      @Adamy-69 10 месяцев назад

      Personally, I prefer Gnome's workflow but KDE's settings.
      As I'm on Linux for work, so I stay on Gnome but miss the KDE settings.
      I just want to change the colors and borders of the windows without touching the rest, but I couldn't do it and then you can't switch from Dark to Light.
      With KDE you can easily change colors and borders and it does not affect the professional use, why not with Gnome?
