peter, used my flat pack jig today-----thank you thank you thank you -----perfect on the FIRST try-----a little awkward at first and then i went back and watched video #482 again to smooth out the process-----again thank you rick
Received mine today. Done a test join and I am really pleased. Tried a few dowel jigs before now, one of them not particularly cheap. The loose tenon jig gave a perfect flush finish first time, which the dowel jigs never quite managed every time. The only drawback for me is it makes you want a Festool Domino even more.
Hi Peter, Just getting geared up for my first project with the loose tenon jig. Had a test run today, after resolving a bunch of problems that were nothing to do with the jig. I have to agree with you. It is very easy to use and the accuracy is very impressive. Well done and thank you.
Excellent demo & tutorial, Peter. It’s been great following the birth of this handy jig. This is going to open up a lot of possibilities for a lot of people…
Hi Peter. Thank you so much for making joinery so much more accessible! I discovered your channel during lockdown, and have learned a huge amount from your videos. Now with this jig, along with other things I’ve learned from your channel I can feel a whole world opening up to me that I no longer have to spend a fortune to participate in. My plan is to start building more storage into our home to help us stay tidy & organised - especially as we’ve a new arrival coming in the new year 👶 All the best. Benjy
Just spent a lazy afternoon looking at loose tenon jigs here on you tube, had a nice time of it too with a break for coffee and a biscuit. The Peter Millard version wins hands down. It looks to be very easy to use and very well finished off. Thanks for showing us.
Thanks David! You have a few years in me - but only a few! 😂 There’s a great maker / woodworker community on Instagram, lots of great work being posted in stories and reels. 👍👍
Brilliant 👏, the best part is the fair price you have put on your product and free knowledge, really excellent. Its always great helping other people get on and gain knowledge.
I'm in. I've been wanting to upgrade from pocket hole screws and dowels and this fits the bill perfectly for me as a weekend woodworker. Nice work Peter.
Love your MFT table sorted me for cabinet making idea in a my small shed which was to small for a table saw now I can make a fold down table cheers Pete love the Jig..
My (batch 2) jig and starter kit arrived today thank you Peter. Very well packaged, its beautifully engineered and has that lovely ‘new wood’ smell to it. Looking forward to trying it out soon. Oh, and not shown in your ‘advert’ above, came with two 10-minute workshop stickers as well. Thank you!
Great work, Peter, and thanks for putting the time and effort into making this to help other woodworkers! I’ll look forward to picking one up next year! Happy Christmas!
So refreshing to hear properly pronounced English on a woodworking channel :-) Good ideas, very nicely presented, thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year !
Very good design. Really pleased you have an opportunity to commercialise a very useful product for those of us who aren’t yet able to justify an $1800 domino machine ( here in Australia)
Great idea Peter. I love the idea of flat packing it. I am thinking about keeping one in my site tool box for emergency repairs. I will get one next year.
The jig is looking good Peter, I'm glad you have spent then time to make a refined product at what seems to be a steal of a price. After recently buying the peanut mini jig for my loose tennons on your recommendation I wasn't sure if I would be able to buy your jig too but at the low price you are selling it for I'm sure I can have them both and they will complement each other well. Thanks again for the work you have put into the product and for all the informative videos.
Great kit Peter. Now you need to get a patent on this jig a.s.a.p. no doubt this jig can be made from aluminium and mass produced shame you haven't got a backer . Just shows how money can be saved. Order will be in for one next year . Going to rebuild my kitchen and this will be a dream come true for me .
These look good. Once you get the manufacturing down, you might consider a partner on the other side of the pond. Lee Valley or Tools for Working Wood seem like good possibilities.
Great jig Peter. Can’t wait until the next batch is ready. Got some built in wardrobes I have been putting off for years than I really must get done next year. Perfect excuse to buy this kit 👌
Would have been amazing to get one for Christmas! Hope them who got the first set are happy. Will be waiting for the second or hopefully third batch :D
Fantastic bit of kit there and fantastic prices. Hopefully I’ll be getting one from the second batch as I’ve registered interest a while back. Can’t wait. Looks so simple and easy to use. Even for me.👍👍👌👌 awesome job Peter.
Blimey, that intro had me feeling like I was back in the school playground watching the cool kids leave on the bus for the ski weekend. :-). :-). All looks good Peter and I am sure it will be a great success for you - and well deserved.
Peter put me on the list, I have a domino but any excuse for another designated router to make life easier. I love the channel and you deserve the credit for the hard work you have done
Great work Peter! It appears to be the perfect affordable alternative to the domino and direct competitor to dowels and biscuits. It will be interesting to see how it’s received/reviewed by other RUclips woodworking gurus.
Looking very good Peter 👍 - I registered for the first batch, but as others have mentioned there was no confirmation, so hope it went thru, my wallet is ready 😉.
Absolutely superb Peter. That is going to fly out. Game changer. Fantastic price. Think I may have to get on the next batch. Add to my 10MW collection... 😁😁👍👍
Wow!! Peter ....Great price for a great jig, I've got a domino already ,but I think at that money & value, I will grab one when they are more available, well done mate fantastic👍👏👏 ...James
If I would want to use the jig for bigger loose tenons, like say a 8x40, I would have to use an 8mm router bit off course but I would also have to move the jig a bit and make a second cut to get the correct width? Correct?
You’d need a larger bit, but no, the increased size of the bit is all it takes to make the wider mortice. That’s the genius of the domino design - the arc of the domino ‘waggle’ doesn’t change, the size is only affected by the bit.
Thanks! Not familiar with the Colt, but most folks with Bosch seem to end up with a 3D printed guide bush. The 1/4” shank bit I supply in the starter pack is the one I’d recommend, also available direct from Rennie tools. Is the Bosch Colt a plunge router BTW? You need a plunge router, or plunge based or this to work. 👍
Great jig Peter, hope it becomes big success. Seems like a nice trade-off for being just a bit slower than the domino, but way cheaper. Only downside I can see is if you router that doesn't have decent dust extraction (my Bosch green router would make a bit of a mess).
Ok, thanks Peter. Sorry to be a pain can I cancel the guide bush I ordered off you yesterday then please? I still want the jig and starter kit tho please. Thanks Dean.👍
peter just recd my loose tenon jig----need to know size of drill to set the treaded inserts as mine is not drilled for the inserts----also vid is ok but do you intend to have written instructions---if so how do i get ---thanx rick
Hi Rick. Links to the assembly guide are on the back of the postcard - think of the children, and all that. Assembly guide has links to dedicated videos covering assembly and usage. I used a 7mm bit for the threaded insert. Here you go. LTJ assembly guide - bit.ly/LTJguide
Thanks, you just made my domino useless... 🤣🤣🤣 Joke aside, really good jig. And for the middle of the board it also works amazingly well. I could have saved a lot of money if this jig was available at the time I bought my domino. Please more PM Jigs in the world.👏👏👏

I hope you’ll make a nice amount on these Peter, very well thought out and smashing the existing barrier to entry! Can’t wait to get hold of one.
Thank you! 👍
Congratulations on getting this to market at a reasonable cost.
I’ve decided to change my workshop along your setup. So the timing of this is great. Well done everyone. Merry Christmas 😃
Thanks, you too! 👍
Great piece of kit Peter. I’ll be buying one along with all those other subscribers to your channel on the second run.
I just got mine today. Excellent work. I cannot wait to put it to use. Thanks so much Peter! 🍻

A great option for loose tenons Peter bypassing the big payout on festol. Will be putting it on my wish list
That's a really well thought out jig Peter. I'll be having a word with Father Christmas!
Thankyou Peter. I will be adding my name to the list. Best wishes for Christmas and 2022

I think aluminium would be overkill tbh, and the design is registered, patents applied for where I can.
@@10MinuteWorkshop glad that's the case on te design ect.. we all know how these can get copied and your hard work shouldn't goto waste.
Excellent Peter, I hope it’s a great success for you 👍👍

Great jig - will have to add my name to the next production run :)
Congratulations for getting it into final production - great looking jig. Have a merry Christmas.

Thanks Michael. Yes, and to be fair the 18mm guide bush doesn’t help with the dust collection. 🤷♂️👍
Registered. These will be ideal for when I make the planned built in cabinets for the living room. Amazing product at a fantastic price point.
Looks great good luck with it...🤘🤘
Brilliant video Peter. 👍
Thanks David! 🙌
Hi Peter, great vid and awesome jig. Do you know off hand whether the trend GB18 guide bush will fit the Makita 18v plunge base, please?
