Great video! One change I would suggest is: when learning a build, use Fast with Range Indicator, then switch to Instant when you're comfortable with the class. Instant is usually better, but when you're not familiar with what the target looks like hitting your skills is always better than missing them :p
@@raph4521 LOL Raph you are the last person who would need a guide like this hahaha. Thanks for leaving a comment though. Maybe someday you could show me how to suck less on warrior
Great video. I didn't know that people played pvp without effect lod but it makes sense. It may have been worth mentioning that this is a really important setting outside of pvp since your pc will melt at world bosses or wvw if you don't have that enabled.
Great tips. I'd like to add a little one. It may sound stupid but when setting keys for your character/class, you actually may want to have different ones depending what class are you playing with. At least for me, not all keybinds feel the same for each class but said that I try to have a certain logic behind them... eg, no matter which class I know that mouse btn 4 is a stunbreak. Hope it helps!
Watching your recent video's, I've been toying with dipping my toe in the wide world of GW2 pvp- went in there once 11 years ago and it was an awful experience so I never looked back, but you make it look pretty fun and now that I have a hot tip settings tut, why not? Maybe I'll see you all in there, I'll be the Norn redhead eating dirt 30 seconds in... 😆
I recommend these keys for the right hotbar: Q healing, E and R for movement and low cooldown abilties, X(or Z if american) for a passive signet or a higher cooldown ability, C for ult, if your mouse has atleast 2 buttons (like logitech gaming mice), make one button dodge and the other swapping weapons, if you have more buttons maybe even add tab targeting to your mouse and auto attack :) i can farm the halloween labyrinth just by using my mouse for example, no finger cramping Q E and R are common buttons for other games too (MOBAs and Overwatch) so maybe your brain wires better that way.
And just by coincidence, if you play ffxiv, where you have 3-4 hotbars, try adding CONTROL, ALT and SHIFT to your mouse buttons, this is how i manage that game without an MMO mouse
Man Homage with another banger vid! Love to see it. I don’t really use aboutface, I think it looks stupid 😂 I’m definitely crutching myself but ohwell. Another crutch of mine is to want to see what other players are wearing so when I lay down on the floor, dead, I can judge their drip and feel better about myself 😂 All jokes aside, these are solid tips, thanks bro 🤘🏻
@@2pacMemories There are top players with no about face key, and even some who play with action cam! It's all about what works best for you. You should try it some time and see I it helps :)
I have a theory that the true advanced movement in GW2 PvP is actively swapping between action camera and cursor. With cursor you can port through walls or even when the target is out of range. But the strength of action camera is full 360° movement of your character in all directions. Essentially treating action camera as a toggle right click. Just a theory though! I love your content, super relaxing and wholesome!
You can basically get action-cam-like movement without action cam with the use of about face but you can't do certain things like cast behind yourself with action cam active. I know that some people love action cam and perform well on it but i doubt that it's optimal.
I have always played the way he's described from the first time I installed the third party action cam mod back in 2013. Constantly side stepping behind people in melee distance can really mess with their ability to target you. I use Alt as my camera mode switch key and it feels easy to press while doing other things. R for look behind and shift+r to about face.
thanks for this! i already had about 80% of the settings, but got some really helpful tipps from this. i dont really get this whole "about face" thing though. i can roll in any direction anyway?! also you judge me for using bloom, i judge you for being capped at 60fps. seriously, change that.
