- Morty is finally out in MultiVersus Season 1, and he is INSANE!! I'm super excited to see how the meta evolves, and I definitely think he'll play a big part in that. Today's video is my first impression of Morty and his abilities, along with my first game on Morty and a pretty nice win streak. His movement looks so good and smooth,his tp's and combos like with the rock thing really cool

You can split your nade with the rock, combined with his signature perk that makes the explosion bigger it covers HUGE area
I feel like Morty played really well, especially with the abilities he has. Love the content keep it up
I literally only had 2 hours with morty before work. I was ass at first but once i figured him out he became so damn fun. Definitely suggest you run him in the lab or vs AI before taking him to the real thing
True, he has a bunch of fun combos but the devs need to make him deal more damage with the punches
@@PrimalZeno if he's suppose to be a bruiser yeah i agree, personally i think they should switch him to a mage. Makes his kit make more sense class wise and would make the punches make sense to considering he specializes in mage stuff
@@stoneysenpaii yes but talking about mages we have bugs and Tom that have a better melee and ranged attacks that him, and looking at the other bruisers they are much more efficient than him at short range.
Basically he lacks in everything and even if you use it well, you can use an other character and do better, but
his granades are too fun I'll take you that

Morty also has a whip on his neutral combo, don't really know how to make it happen but it looks OP.
Hit side attack twice and finish using neutral attack instead of hammer side attack
I made a decently op strat with morty with the flame perk when u hit them with projectiles they set on fire just hit them with the lazer gun or grenades and many many more there basically one fire the whole match lol
Some things you should know is that the rock ability can duplicate the Bonn’s u have on the floor and the portal makes projectiles go faster when u make them go through it(like the bomb and gun)
I like how morty has those planet tina rings
Was playing with a morty and we got a double KO with UFO. All three were on it then I jumped on as reindog spam down smash a bunch and the UFO pushed both of them up for a KO, I used Rein up special to rolll off without dieing and we danced because both were around 20 damage koed. But Arya's face stun is a good combo to use or Tom's kiss since they both have long stuns. Superman freeze can maybe work but be hardest to pull off.
I do think that Morty is more like a mage than a bruiser but no two characters from the same theme are the same class and Rick is going to be a mage so that is why I am guessing that Morty is a bruiser!!!
You can 1-2 jab, then neutral light attack and he has a whip move that pulls morty to the enemy if the tip hits

Shooting projectiles through the portal gives them a speed and range boost just FYI
The classes all seem to have a hybrid(not horizontal vertical hybrid but a hybrid between two classes.) Here's how I see it at least:
Finn: Bruiser/Assassin
Wonder Woman: Tank/Bruiser
Morty: Mage/Bruiser
Bugs: Mage/Assassin
Can't think of any others at the moment

Id like to add a point to the “bruiser vs mage” comment : a bruiser’s specials are their own attacks (for the most part) and can be used as finishers. A mage’s specials mainly set up the light attacks/combos. They aren’t necessarily attacks on their own
Except buggs and toms specials can one shot you lmao

There is pretty much no risk of going to far because ufo is a free recovery

Not sure if you know yet but you can duplicate the grenades with the forward special rock move. If it hits the grenade it multiplies it. So up to 6 on the screen

I think by all means morty is a mage, the mages we have at the moment excel in map control and creative combo set ups and morty definitely falls into that category

@@alangregory5580 mages can still have overly strong normals, as shown with bug and toms up air, they're both very powerful

i got him to level 11 and i only have 14 wins alot of games where lost he does very little damage in my opinion and i always lose with him i only play against bots . hes the hardest to use character by far.
He’s really not insane. I think he will be middle of the pack character. He’s not like a broken bugs.
No he is 100% insane of a character, but he actually requires skill and effort to play effectively. He can do some nutty shit.

If u can figure out the button inputs to use the laser whip consistently can you let us know? I've only seen it twice by button mashing in the lab
Do 2 hits of the side combo and then hit neutral punch to use the whip. So I have neutral punch mapped to R1 so it goes forward square, forward square, R1.

He’s just not as intuitive as other characters. He’s very different, but full of potential

Try him and compare him Tom and jerry, his combos has literally a very low dps, I make 20 damage with a five hit combo when with a combo of two hits from Tom and jerry I can do as much damage, also Tom and jerry is better long distance, he is faster and has like 1 million kill moves.

Hoping Rick is more fun, played with Morty all day and didnt have alot of fun... kind of a boring character to me
man i’m the opposite, loving him so far I think he’s one of the most unique characters and a ton of fun to string together a crazy combo
