Marvel dropped the ball big time with Angela. The idea of bringing her in thru Thor's mythos was dope & the Angels of the cut off realm of Heaven was cool too. Her character fits in with the entire Thor landscape. Marvel basically had a Wonder Woman like character returning to the landscape along with an entire realm of strong female characters with untapped origins & backstory potential. She & Heaven could have been big & become a major power in the cosmic landscape similar to the Asgardians, Dark Elves etc
Sucks that they failed to execute her in a proper manner. Wished she stayed back with Spawn. At least she’ll be badass and entertaining there.

Her relationship with Spawn is way better than with Sera.
Dont forget that making angela lesbian doesnt make sense to a well established character. Honestly, she had a good relationship with Spawn and couldve been a couple if they want to.

Angela should stay in images comic instead of being in marvel. A huge big mistake on Angela creater.

How's it a mistake on the creators part? The creator's name is Neil Gaiman and he also left Image and went to Marvel. He went and continued working on writing some of Angela's character and storylines as well as a good bit of writing for the "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Eternals" comics. Pretty sure that wasn't a mistake at all. Haha
@@89ludeawakening1 Neil Gaiman writes novels. He also writes comic book stories. Neil doesn’t draw. So, if you don’t draw, you can only be part owner of a comic character, in my opinion. Otherwise, he wanted to buy her, to sell her off. That’s a sad situation in its own right, but to watch your creation be squandered makes it even more heartbreaking.
Todd did a Spawn comic where he discusses intellectual property and the ownership of ideas. Now, that being said, it’s damn hypocritical to try to keep Angela because she’s popular. I know he runs a business, but still...

Awww, man. I remember reading the issue that introduced Angela back when I was in school. Honestly, the medieval/knight spawn was the coolest looking part of that issue.

They just brought him back in issue 305 or 306 think still a dope character
There have been at least a couple different Medieval Spawns over the course of the series. There was the one originally introduced in issue #9 that Angela killed, there was the one who battled the Violator in what was the first encounter between a knight and a dragon (potentially the same one Angela killed, I don't think it was ever confirmed or denied), and there was Lord Covenant from the Dark Ages spinoff.
I still have the spawn comic where Angela was introduced.
As soon as Angela was announced as a Marvel character, i was hoping at some point she will cross paths with Ghost Rider.
As usual Marvel disappoints.
If they pushed her to be more like Marvels darker, grittier Wonder Woman which she kinda is, that might've worked!With the way things went with Angela, Gaiman shouldve settled our of court and let Mcfarlane keep her in Image.

I literally just finished watching HBO's Spawn the Animated Series. Then this popped up
Kyan Perry awesome I remember that series to from hbo it was dope.
Ángela made an appearance on the animated series but was irrelevant thanks to the law dispute against Mcfarlane.

@@eliandervalderen5849 I think it was explained in that she's able to travel throughout time and actually had been hunting Spawns for a while but just didn't remember for some reason.
@@melvinshine9841 the way I looked at it or took the explanation was that hola for future actions had already happened from the perspective of others but the her that was talkin right them right now it just called last into existence before even her first spawn hunt.
She was better as a Spawn character.

I agree; Marvel ruined her origin story. She had potential to be a great force in the Heavens. Angela was such a novel character in Spawn. I was hoping to see her resurrected when Spawn became God & resurrected everyone back. I see now why she never shows up after he resurrects everyone. I was hoping to see Angela battle the immortal Seraph Zera.

My question is why would Marvel even WANT Angela?
I kind of liked some of the Angela Queen of Hel stuff, and enjoy when she shows up, but she's not used much AT ALL.
She's supposedly intertwined with Thor but she's never involved with that book at all.
I wish her comics did better in Marvel; got to see her more in Avengers or Cosmic stories. She's a physical powerhouse.

Yes! Rob is the only one making GREAT content lately. Keep the Spawn stuff coming!! Do a Capullo video! He started on #18 and changed Spawns costume to it’s iconic modern look in issue #32. His impact on the character is tremendous and his start in horror comics made him the perfect fit.

Thank you for this video. She was a huge popular character during my first years of collecting comics. Thanks to her and many other "bad girl" comics like Chaos! Comics Lady death and Purgatori, I started collecting comics in the early 90's. People forget the importance of some eras of comics and how they impacted collectors because there were no big black buster movies at the time covering independent comic companies. It was all about the art and writing. Though the writing was to a degree, simplistic in nature , it was really all about the fun of reading these books. Waiting around for diamond comics Wednesdays shipments was cool back then. How Todd McFarlane handled this character was poor to say the least. All to ultimately get the rights of miracle man if I'm not mistaken . Sad. Marvel made her super basic and boring.
