That robot design has aged so well
It's always the quiet ones you have to be careful of.
@Santa's Got An Axe I often wonder if the angel robots in "Voyage of the Damned" were inspired by "The Robots of Death".
@@AndrewChapman There's no doubt. One even takes its hand off after trying to get through a door I seem to recall. If that's not a reference, it's one hell of a coincidence.
@@ihateunicorns867 Yes, certainly seems like it.
So has Louise Jameson.
*The Doctor:* "The TARDIS can travel anywhere in time and space."
*Companion:* "Including quarries in Wales?"
*The Doctor:* "Especially quarries in Wales."
And in the Home Counties near Guildford.
Lol.
I just checked, one of the filming locations for both Doctor Who and Blakes seven in the 1970s was Betchworth Quarry which was closer to Dorking than Guildford.
www.doctorwholocations.net/locations/betchworthquarry
Ninth Doctor: Everywhere, but only Earth. Especially Cardiff!
Especially lowland heaths in England
Remember kids - a Doctor Who Blu-ray set is a lethal weapon and should never be used unsupervised! 💿🔪📀
But only when wielded by a warrior of the Sevateem. ;)
I always knew Doctor Who would be the death of him. Ha, ha!
RIP Elisabeth Sladen ❤️
Megduck Random Amen
Oh no I didn't know she passed :( Rest in Peace )
A. Atrium dear atrium when you hear about Elizabeth’s passing it really goes To the heart
@@thekeeperofrecords3041 - In 2011. Cancer. So we'll never see her or Nicholas Courtney introduce a collection.
Still got it Louise.....and then some!
Steve Page It took me a while to realize she was in EastEnders she’s awesome fantastic
Mark Pettis such a lovely person too.
I love how the trailer is just Louise murdering a VOC robot, then sipping her tea. What a badass.
I quite like Leela it's nice when a companion has a different perspective than middle-class English girl and all her stories are classics in my opinion, but c'mon this "badass" thing is cringe. What isn't "badass"?
Alex Saunders what a badass comment I completely agree.
@@them1ghtyalex Oh shut up, will you? Let people enjoy things.
Still got it!
*Leela* : *Exists*
*Also Leela* : *Visible Bad@ssery*
This is the BEST trailer you've released so far
As long as it's not a Dalek serving you tea, then you are ok.
Dalek: YOU WILL ENJOY SOME TEA, IT IS EXCELLENT!
actually they once did, on the "Victory of the Daleks" episode with Matt Smith...
I AM YOUR SERVANT...

I've always wanted to beat up a robot with a DVD and now I know what it would be like
I didn't know I wanted to do that before seeing this
My mum: I heard a cry.
Me, after pre ordering the boxset: that was me.
Bye the pricking of ...
Louise delivered it by throwing it at you
It's seems as though Tom has almost gotten his old hairstyle back and it looks great!!!
I wonder how he'd look if he dyed it brown.
@@NovaPrima Probably an older looking version of the doctor from the 70's
So basically that robot is google assistant in a body
The VOCs are far less sinister than Alexa!
R.I.P.

We won’t cry because you’re gone, we will smile because you were and always will be our Sarah Jane.
I cried when she left Doctor Who. I cried again when she left this world.
What a time to be alive! As someone who grew up in the 80's watching Doctor Who, it's marvelous to see all these actors from the classic series come back to do promos, docs, commentaries, and the like. I'm so happy the rebooting of the show has been a tremendous success! And coincidentally, I've just started reading Corpse Marker, the sequel novel to The Robots of Death by Chris Boucher.
It was a tremendous success, past tense. This is a great season my dad got me into classics when I was younger, it is very cool to see these people back again (although to say I got the season 19 one and some of the newly shot special features are just interviews with the same people they interviewed when they released the DVDs saying nearly all the same things except they look less happy to be there, some are worthwhile though).
Angelo911 they’ve been back on big Finish for years
Iain 97 And the best part is Big Finish always tries their best *not* to contradict any of the other eu media about the future Earth colony of Kaldor the robots are from.
What's Boucher like as a novelist then? His teleplays were always bang on!
Check out a blake 7 episode it has one of the characters in corpse marker. And kaldor city
"Please do not throw hands at me!"
Season 14 is a good one!
(though I prefer Season 13 over it)
Every Tom Baker Seasons were Perfect, even his latest (S18) was great. But if you want real perfection than the first 3 Season were the Absolute Best.
13 is my favorite. 14 is a close second.
@@DeanStrickson so is mine, Pyramids of Mars and The Seeds of Doom are untouchables; don't forget also Terror of the Zygons, The Brain of Morbius, The Android Invasion and Planet of Evil which is an underrated gem.
"Please do not hit me with Blu-rays."
What's your top 5?
She has aged well. Still has the loveliest eyes.
*a woman i've never heard of just beat the ever living hell out of a robot i've never seen before*
*i have never seen a better advertisement in my life*
Delta Sight it’s Louise Jameson. She played Leela in Season 14 and 15

Welcome to THE NEW LIFE! YOU WON'T LOOK BACK!
If you think this is good check out the season 23 trailer...
@@dalekemperor1984 She was one of my favorite characters.
RIP Sarah Jane. What a great actress you were.
Finally they’re releasing the best ever series of doctor who.
The Hand of Time is excellent!
Oh yes.
Mike Bliss oh yes I love that really famous Doctor Who story “The Hand of Time”
I might just have to agree with you there.
@Jack The Film Fanatic Thanks for the catch; I was in a boring teleconference when I wrote this so...a little distracted.
Be honest, tho: "The Hand of Time" sounds like an amazing Doctor Who story full of that old school camp.
I love these little skits. So full of that doctor who charm.
The Deadly Assassin, The Robots of Death and The Talons of Weng Chiang all restored in HD?! Yes please!
None of them will be HD
None of these sets are hd, except for the little surviving film footage
Which I don't think season 14 has any of
@@Yetaxa In not quite HD? Yes please!
@@Yetaxa The outside scenes in Deadly Assassin and Talon are shot on 16mm. And I think the bit in the scoop from Robots was too.
@@ihateunicorns867 I'm pretty sure that those original 16mm films no longer exist
@@Yetaxa Shame. Although you're not going to get much extra detail out of 16mm that you didn't get in SD.
Yes!! One of my favourite Seasons!! I just wish that Elizabeth Sladen was still alive to record some special features...
It would likely be considered poor taste but it would probably be possible to make a realistic voice and video copy of her using AI deepfake technology. Of course anything produced by that means for broadcast would need to be approved by her estate.
At least all of the special features from the previous DVD releases will (most likely) be included, and I know she was in at least some of them.
“As a child, I had the privilege of knowing Sarah-Jane Smith, but as an adult, it was my honour to know Elizabeth Sladen.”
David Tennant, 2011.
There is nothing new I can say that hasn't already been said about the incredible work they are doing for both the Blu-ray's themselves and these trailers. They are always a treat to watch.
Don’t mess with Leela!
Sarah Jane ❤️
I absolutely adore both Louise Jameson and Tom Baker. Wonderful!
You’ve absolutely still got it Louise! 💗 Leela for the win!
Anything that holds the image of the fourth becomes itself the fourth and subdues a rogue robot in his style.
Look out, Ace, you've got some competition.
Well, in Big Finish audios they worked amazingly together as a team, so... :) Granted, no for long.
@@JiordanoAsya which story was that?
I swear these promo's are the best thing about Doctor Who
And they give the old cast some work, which is lovely.
@@timrob12 The latest 'cast' could do with some acting lessons.... and as for that money grabbing midget Bradley Walsh, he is the epitome of a 'I must be famous at all costs!!' personality...he was a footballer, then decided to become a stand up comic.... then an 'actor' (edit scenes from 'Coronation Street', 'Doctor Who' and 'Law and Order:UK' together and you'd think it was the same character....actor my arsehole!) and also a game show host....
And people went into one when Bonnie Langford was cast... she's Maggie Smith compared to that charlatan.
@@rnw2739 Doctor Who, in my opinion, is a good challenge to all of the cast. I feel they're growing. Maybe slowly, but they are growing. Personally, I feel Jodie is growing the most, having the most interesting part of them all. But that is my opinion.
I always liked this Doctor, he could do more with a scarf than anyone.
I love you, Leela!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You know, I think season 14 might possibly be my favourite season of Doctor Who ever. What an amazing run of stories.
Ahh, Leela's never left!
She still kicks a**!
@@GyitMulhaneski-GloriousYears dont censor yourself. She kicks arse!
Always the warrior
The clip of vintage Tom Baker playing pinball with Deep Roy alone justifies purchasing this fantastic set.
Brilliant!! I was lucky enough to meet Louise a couple of years back at a Doctor Who day at our local theatre. Not only my favourite actress but a lovely lady with it!!!
I must have missed this one 4 years ago, what a great video!
A very charming and well put together trailer. I love the creativity that comes with the announcement trailers for The Collection Blu-ray range, long may they continue!
I love these trailers. They never fail to make me grin!
The one with Ace was an infuriating tease.
Looking forward to this set! Really like each story and it’s great to see Louise again! Leela is one of my favourite companions!
I concur
The great Deep Roy with Tom Baker at 3:05. Those of you who haven't been around since the 60s and 70s know him as Scotty's assistant in the newer Star Trek movies, and for maximum laughs, you want to see him as an assassin in "The Pink Panther Strikes Again," where, just like the Doctor, Inspector Clouseau may experience setbacks, but is never defeated.
A TV and film legend!
One of the best seasons in doctor who history!
"Still got it."
She certainly does.
We've missed you, Savage ❤️🔥
Honestly, I wouldn't mind the BBC giving her either a cameo appearance or let her record a vocal performance explaining whether Leela survived the Time War or not and what ultimately happened to her...
@@gordontaylor2815 Me also.😀
Delighted this is being released! Tom at the height of his powers and the best ever production team, including 2 of my own personal top ten stories, Robots and Assassin! Can't wait for this release! 👍🏻😊
God these trailers are all just as good as the ones before and that's the best thing about it! All amazing!
This has to be the funniest announcement trailer! Nice work - LOVE IT!!!
Wow has she ever still got it what a smile!!
Once again, Doctor Who is on trending. Currently at number 35. Also this trailer is brilliant. So creative. I’d love to see the VOC robots in nuwho.
Robots of the Death! ❤️
The Robots have an entire spin-off on Big Finish now! :)
The BAFTA award winning classic!
Me: Man, this looks great!
"Home assistant not included"
Me: DANG IT!
Still a beauty, full of class! Love Louise Jameson!
Tom Baker, my first 'Dr.Who' in America.
Mine too
Thats 1:48 better than the WHOLE of series 11
Absolutely brilliant!! Already pre-ordered!
The Rat Monthly magazine on her table slays me. 😂 Brilliant! Louise definitely still has it!
I want Rat Monthly!
Ahh, you are lavishing us
The way Louise says Tom makes me think that she's back in The Omega Factor, talking to Tom Crane
Love the TARDIS teapot with those Jammy Dodgers. And the Robot's name is V14 (like Season 14)! 😂
"Still got it." Oh yes she does.
Okay, clearly you're trying to make me cry in the office! Any refernces to either Elisabeth Sladen or Mary Tamm always get me going.
Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee were my 2 favourite doctors; Sarah Jane and Leela my favourite assistants. RIP Elisabeth Sladen; gone but never forgotten.
I was just now watching the season 12 boxset (love ♥️). Very much looking forward to this one! 💗
I thought this was going to be a come back of the robots of death
My personal favourite of the Hinchcliffe seasons available on Blu-Ray?! Wow, this is just brilliant! I had a lot of fun with the Season 18 boxset, so this looks like it's going to be great!
Has to be my favourite trailer yet. So good
Yes! I'm definitely getting this
I remember watching this at the time! Can’t wait.
Even though I'm not buying these boxsets (I don't have a Blu-ray player and I'm sticking with the DVDs), these trailers are so well done and make me feel so happy watching them!
You go Louise!
These trailers are awesome!
Looking forward to this one! What a great season! Robots of Death is one of my favorites.
Thank you!
One of the best runs in the entire history of Doctor Who. It's good to see it getting some love!
(Missed an opportunity to have V14 say "please do not throw box sets at me," but ah well)
warms my hearts
Love these trailers.
I now really want those robots back into Doctor Who, they can really say something these days, we are all so dependent on technology, a malfunctioning home assistant with a thirst or blood, if written right could be creative and fun doctor who story, something I believe most people feel a lack of in modern Who
THIS is Doctor Who. I can't even THINK about the recent attempts at the show anymore.

Exactly. They’re releasing all the legendary Tom Baker episodes this year. I suppose they’re throwing us old school fans a bone. Most of us aren’t watching the new one anymore...
This short skit was more DW than Series 11 or 12
“Still got it”. Yes she does!!
Hopefully at some point they'll release The Sarah Jane Adventures series 1-3 on Blu-ray
Why not the other season ??
@@lukewalker5717 They already released series 4 and 5 on Blu-ray to begin with.

Ohmigod! Louise Jameson! She's one of my Who heroes! 😍 love this!!!❤❤
Damn this might be the best one yet
The tribute to Elisabeth Sladen makes this set essential. That, and these were my favorite Fourth Doctor stories.
Lmao 😂 how she just whacked it 😝 I can’t stop laughing
Love these collections boxsets. Hope they re release season 12 soon like they promised
I'll have to rewatch this a few times, see if there are any (Janus) thorns on that garden !
Just got my blu ray set yesterday in region 1 land. I pre ordered it back in April before they moved the release date to August 4th. Now anyone who buys it gets it in 2 weeks. I love this season!!
This is amazing, can't wait
Best Doctor who trailer yet !!!!
This is so delightful!!!
I love the new ads for the collections :)
The season that started for me as a child aged 1.
I love the tea pot painted like the TARDIS.
2:00 Thank god for that
Why am I thinking of Nest Cottage? Oh Mrs. Wibbsey. How delightful. 😁
I was expecting Louise Jameson to throw a knife at V14's chest, complete with the "whoosh-doink" sound effect.
I wanted that as well...
Absolutely hilarious! Can’t wait.
Shut up and take my money.
Hmmm Leela...
Wish all the seasons will get a remaster
