Thank you, I wanted to find out which are best for everyone and what the differences are. On person online reviewed the XTAR which they got for free for review. Someone commended to him how they compare to the Eneloop Pro which I already had in front of me. Now we can all know.

Xtar's newer batteries stay at 1.5V for most of the charge but give a low voltage indication (1.1V) when almost totally flat, that's handy as you won't want to over-discharge them. Think these older ones just cut off suddenly.

Sadly these batteries don't hold a charge long and last month one of my 4 batteries completely failed.
Hopefully the ones are much improved long term quality
