I just love, love, _love_ that they briefly transitioned back to the original chiptune version of the theme, not once but twice! This is a remake that _truly_ respected the original, that said "We're rerecording the original soundtrack , not because we're ashamed of the original, but just because this is what we _can_ do with today's technology. The original is still great, hell, here it is!"

I’ve been a Zelda fan since OoT, I’m 34 years old now. Somehow I never played Links Awakening although I wanted to as a child. So I took the amazing opportunity to play it the remake on Switch and it’s the first game I’ve finished in a couple years. Usually I get bored of games quickly as I get older, but this game held my attention all the way and gave me that nostalgic bliss only a good old-fashioned Zelda game can give. During the ending credits fanfare, I was so happy that I held back joyful tears. The animations and the music brought me back to my childhood. Also, the fact that everything was a dream made me a little sad, I guess Link can’t hook up with Marin, lmao.

Maybe. But if she's not interested or can't immerse, it won't click. Some people are like that. Some just can't or refuse to immerse in games because life responsibilities are far more pressing and important over games. They don't want to really let themselves get sucked in. Or maybe they know they'll spend too much time on it and neglect responsibilities. Some avoid them because they prefer going outside, exercising, just moving around in general. Stuff like that.
