Handsome pipe! Just acquired my first Dunhill for my birthday last month as well; a 1965 Shell Briar Apple. Never thought I’d bring myself to spend that much on a pipe lol.
Good Afternoon 😊 Beautiful Pipe 😍 Looks like you having an pipe collection disorder 😂 Thanks for the chat and sharing a pipe with me 🌬💨💨 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Just found your channel and hello from North Yorkshire 🇬🇧 nice dunhill pipe you have there and a cracking looking pipe you are smoking too. Hey my best cure for a cold is lambs navy rum and Rybena, two good slugs of each and topped up with boiling water. I don’t like rum on its own but the toddy is really tasty and warms you up right through and sits on your chest like a hot water bottle. We Yorkshire folk swear by it.
I think when it comes to Dunhill pipes they are of good quality all round with very good craftmanship and quality control, all of which makes them consistently very good. However, I have much cheaper pipes that smoke just as well. Of course its interesting to try and I wouldnt say no to another Dunhill at the right price, but I wont be expecting a 'better' experience. Will be interesting to hear what you think whenever you get another Dunhill.
I was weary of one of my Dunhills and spent some time looking up information about counterfeits. I was told that counterfeit Dunhills were made by Dunhill workers in the Dunhill factory, during a certain time period, and without the permission of Dunhill. And that Dunhill counterfeits *can* sometimes be more rare and collectible than legitimate Dunhills. I don't know how reliable that info is, but it might be worth looking into.
Its a very nice looking pipe- glad that you are enjoying it.

I came across that info maybe 10 years ago, so I wouldn't know where to begin looking again to try to confirm.
